I was going to submit an app called floppy dick but that would probably be rejected for other reasons.

This is really front page news? Really? How many flapping articles are going to make the front page. This is at least 3 so far. It's a sad little game. 1 front page article was more than enough.

Apple removes apps based on flappy bird that use cloned art. But flappy bird itself used cloned art from Nintendo and Apple didn't remove that. Some major double standards there.

They are removing them based on the name, not necessarily the art.

Yay, I knew this day would come! I'm tired of seeing all of this crap on the top charts. It's so unfair for developers who put time into their games and some group of cheap games brings them down. Whoever first developed that game should have copyrighted it or something. I wish Popcap would get on to the developers of Candy Crush for copying Bejewled. Honestly, I hate getting Candy Crush request notifications.

iOS App Store Search is Sooooo Broken

Put those billions to use Apple and make the damn description searchable, make the keywords field bigger and cleanup up your archaic search engine.

I'm working on a game where you have to guide pancakes through a maple syrup waterfall. It's called Flappy Jacks.

I wonder why anyone plays any brain deadening game when it's possible to play the most easy to learn and difficult to master game ever conceived. A game that has been played for over 5000 years and is to chess as chess is to draughts. A game that teaches you principles of a good life like, courage, resoluteness and clear thinking. That game is of course GO and is available free, and without ads or in app purchases.

So who wants to buy Flappy Fish from me? Rare, no longer available!

----------

Don't copy that Flappy.

I can't believe someone here knows about that thing! You just made my day. Yo I'm the MCFP, the Flappy Protector, for you and the posse.

I downloaded all the flappy apps available, just for fun- and now I am seeing under 'updates' some of these showing up each day offering "minor fixes".

It didn't take me long to figure out those 'minor fixes' were really name changes.

Now I have stacked up updates that won't be updated, just because.

I placed a few of these games on my iPod.

I downloaded splashy fish after reading this article and GO TO EFFIN' 'ELL MACRUMORS YOU FREAKING SUCK I HATE YOU AAAAAGGGHHHH.

I got to 11. I need to delete this damn app.

And now I truly understand what all the anti-flappy vitriol was about.

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

:D heheh

And today, on this dutch selling site (something like eBay), I saw people are offering their iPhones or Sony phone for sale for €1.000+ just because it has Flappy Bird installed...

Seeing this made me curious what things were like on eBay itself, so I went over there and did a search for "iPad Flappy Bird"- and couldn't believe what I saw next. It's a madhouse over there!

I saw several in the $1000 range, several more in the $2000 range, and even one for $3000! Holy insanity Batman!!

This seems to be mostly wishful thinking on the part of the sellers, though, as I saw very few actual bids. Which is fortunate for me, because if these things were really selling I might be tempted to dive into the hornets' nest ;)

*******

This artwork was stolen from Bee Leader which two good friends of mine here in New Zealand made and have won many awards for.

As you said, it's up to your friends to deal with the copyrighted material and ask Apple to have it taken down.
