The App Store, the most simple way to become rich in today's world, I guess. Just need to find the right stupid app that appeals to the masses, and you are done, and can feel proud of your achievement.

Seeing this made me curious what things were like on eBay itself, so I went over there and did a search for "iPad Flappy Bird"- and couldn't believe what I saw next. It's a madhouse over there!

I saw several in the range, several more in the range, and even one for ! Holy insanity Batman!!

This seems to be mostly wishful thinking on the part of the sellers, though, as I saw very few actual bids. Which is fortunate for me, because if these things were really selling I might be tempted to dive into the hornets' nest ;)

Yeah, it's insane lol. I saw one asking €10.000 and he had bids for €7.000 but I'm assuming people are messing with him. The thing is, this site doesn't work like eBay, when you bid you ''don't have'' to buy it.

I don't get how it's was making 50k a day the ads disappear the second you touch the screen. Visible for less than a second.

Clash of the Clans is another game that is a rip off too
Clash of the Clans is a great game don't get me wrong but its been ruined by buying gems.Clash of the clans is one of my favourite games on the app store without a doubt but i won't buy gems to have fun.

Well... this may come as a surprise to you but buying those gems is the core feature of the game and the only reason why Supercell in the first place released the game. They are doing business. Supercell is one of the first companies releasing "free-to-play" games. Many game companies are nowadays doing the same because Supercell is doing so well and breaking records.

I have tried Clash of Clans but I haven't bought any gems myself.

So maybe it's ruined for you but no game company is charitable organization just because game is available for free.

But how?

Hi all,

I don't code, but how is it possible that there are SO many clones of this game up and running? Are people decompiling ipas and skinning them?

These constant flappy bird stories are as exciting as patent disputes.

Tap to move X else Y isn't hard to code. The original game was simple to recreate.

Although you have to be of a certain age to get the reference, your post deserves nomination for the highly coveted Atta Boy! award.

Holy crap! That's the first anti-piracy message I've ever seen that might actually make me consider not pirating something!

Not possible. Likely it's just a super easy game to make for anyone who knows iOS.

you sir, are what's wrong with the entire universe. please stop doing this ****.

What for making my own game that isn't a Flappy Birds clone that you have to get Butterflies and avoid bad bugs and complete achievements?

yea that's really really wrong.

Man i love noob comments thanks for the LOL.

All scams....eBay has already started deleting auctions like that.....

Jesus people need to chill...Flappy Birds is a deceptively difficult game you can play for a few minutes at a time.....like snake.

I'll open it up every now and again to see if I can best my own score of 40.

You know the REAL problem with iOS games.....cheating the high score system. Game center leaderboards are completely worthless. Shame too - multiplayer gaming could be a lot of fun on iOS but with leaderboards who's first couple thousand entries are 999,999 it kinda kills the fun.

Anyhow, the world needs to calm the eff down.

So if your game has nothing to do with flappy birds or its clones why are you posting it here? What's it got to do with this article?

I don't get it. The Flappy kind of games have been there for ever. Actually it does not do anything special compared to the early 1980's games that came out as the first games ever. Why is everbody making such a fuss over this???

the stupidest game, but all that downloads can't be wrong.

It's still under Apple TOS anyway ? Nothing has changed,, Only that everyone is p*^&ss off about Flappy birds is off the App Store, so why not just violate Apple's TOS ?

Sounds even more stupid to me..

If Apple's search engine worked....

If Apple's search engine worked, developers wouldn't have to resort to misleading meta data. How many times have I searched for an app using a keyword and 10,000 apps appear before it even though the search term is in the title of the obscured app and not in the 10,000 before it.
