How many karats is this "gold" link bracelet? Methinks this is false advertising, it is not a gold bracelet, it seems to be a golden (color) bracelet.
As it says on the webpage Color - Gold. I would suggest it is 100% appropriate advertising.

I believe the Natural Watch band is actually made of Natural And I suspect the Slate Watch band is made of Slate as well.

I wonder how much actual gold is in this. At $350 it certainly wouldn't be solid gold, even at 14k. 18k plated maybe?

Ah the actual answer is zero, zero percent actual gold.

In that case, why is it $350?

Exactly what I was thinking, for 349 that should be gold plated minimum, other luxury brands would sell one gold plated at that price. But no mass produced Apple is just plain out gold colouring.

Why are you all complaining about the price when this band has gone down $100 since the original Apple Watch. It was $449 in 2015. I still have it from back then it’s really a good band better than knock offs. What do you want Apple to charge? they charge $99 for fabric or plastic bands. Have you read the description??

Crafted from 316L stainless steel alloy, the Link Bracelet has more than 100 components. The machining process is so precise, it takes nearly nine hours to cut the links for a single band. The custom butterfly closure folds neatly within the bracelet. And several links feature a simple release button, so you can add and remove links without any special tools.

People who spend as much on these cheapo metal bands as they do on the watch itself are crazy. Probably get the same thing for $20 from china
Before I ever owned the Apple band I ordered one of these cheap chinese bands, it broke within 5 minutes and dropped my watch to the ground...

It did do its primary job though, help me figure out if I liked the look of the band enough to buy the Apple version. Six or so years later the Apple band is still in perfect condition.

You must be new here. It's the same price as the other stainless-steel link bracelets in slate and natural. IIRC, this is the same price these watch bands have been for years. It's just a new color. Gold content has nothing to do with it. Fortunately, there is no requirement to buy one of these.

Couldn't agree more. You are paying the Apple tax here folks. It's not gold, just gold colour.

I'd rather buy 90x different bands from a Chinese marketplace, than on 1x faux ugly gold band. I've worn no name bands that even Apple staff think are Apple when I ask!

Your argument is not as sound as you may think. I have been using off brand, affordable (made in China just like Apple’s) for years and it’s doing great. Not everything that’s more affordable is a low quality knockoff.

Might that be becasue you ordered a 'cheapo chinese band', instead of an expensivo Chinese band?

I love my original stainless link band so much that I will keep using my Series 2 for the foreseeable future, as Apple has decided to stop offering stainless watches and instead coats titanium in weird colors.

I'm astonished by how many people thought this is real gold and not just gold coloured like all the other gold Apple product (excluding the short lived S0 gold AW). 🤦‍♂️

So much ignorance in 1 thread. If you think it’s too expensive, then move on and buy your cheap Chinese knockoff. I have a silver and space black version of these that are like 10 and 8 years old. Back in the day they were 500 dollar each. Still in top condition. People that say this one ‘should be in real gold for that price’ are just ridiculous. Don’t want to pay the Apple tax ? Go somewhere else, stop complaining and get to your a** to work to earn more money instead of wasting your time and whining on a internet forum (yes I’m implying you’re a brokie)
