Are you sure the fit in your ears isn't just getting worse over time?

What motivation would Apple have to make their product progressively worse?
Well I was thinking of getting some new tips. I do wash them but not sure if the silicon becomes more slipper through time instead of a grip as even the rubber will degrade to a certain point

They fit really well. But I know through experience that these seem to not block
Put as much now.

Apple could reduce the ANC through time to make the new versions seem
Better at it when released. I have read many articles to the fact. I am Not saying that’s happening here until I try a new set of tips but I know for a fact there not the same as when released in November

I curious to owners of the current APP2 users: do any of you mind charging via lightning or magsafe?
It's never been a problem for me, but I understand usb-c holdouts.

If I had APP2 I would be happy and not want a new version at all. As an APP1 owner, I really want all the new features but am not buying APP2 with Lightning because it’s almost certain an update is coming this fall to at least the case. In the mean time no it doesn’t bother me charging via either but I don’t want to be stuck with that for years to come when it’s only a few short months away.

I can confirm that no matter which eartips I use, the noise cancellation has gotten worse. Sometimes I toggle it just to make sure it’s on. It’s definitely louder without, but stuff comes through that really shouldn’t and didn’t used to.

That said, it is noticeably better with third party foam tips than with the ones that come with it.

After using the AirPods for a bit, I got a pop-up box asking me if I wanted to enable the new features. Conversation Awareness is awesome -- just start speaking and it lowers your audio volume.
But does the previous volume level ever restore? I finding the lowering is cool, but it never re-adjusts.

It's 6A238h, however, you don't get the beta FW for AirPods just because you're on the iOS 17 beta. You have to connect your phone to a Mac running Xcode, enroll the phone to use developer settings, then enable Pre-Release Beta Firmware for the AirPods.

Weird I have that version but dont have the new feature nor after listening for hours, days have gotten any popup to enable it :-(

Do you think (or know if) the iPhone is capable of reading messages on non-Apple earbuds and Apple is restricting it (for which I don’t blame them) or is it something in the AirPods themselves?
