One details pops up: the space between the keys is not dark as it is on the MacBook Pros 16 et 14. I've been using a MB Pro 16 M1 for 2 months now, and an all-black keyboard is quite disturbing for me. If only they could come back to a more Black/Silver design on future Macs, I would be happy.

Ordered the keyboard.

Now my desktop is unified.

Yes. that was bugging me.
So they make you buy white/silver (by withholding the black), then they release black (after intentional deprivation- they know from feedback and data a lot of folks want that), and since a lot of folks want the black they rush to buy them - making consumers buy the same stuff twice!

I just wish the aluminum was darker like the keyboard that came with the iMac Pro. I have that keyboard now, which I like, but I'd appreciate the updated keys, and TouchID.

Why are people surprised. Apple is about the $. They are a business to make money...they KNOW how to make money and get people to buy. They know their customer mental drives and use it to the max. Bravo Apple.

They are likely the same as the 2021 refreshes, Apple claimed the refresh last year was Bluetooth 5 but in System Report is still says Bluetooth 3.0+EDR. The big difference and reason I returned and stuck with my space gray keyboard and trackpad was because the newer accessories (at least the white/silver version) felt much cheaper to the touch and the typing felt different also. You could tell the minute you took it out of the box, it was a cheaper material used and they were lighter than the older versions.
Are there other opinions about new MK? I’m on the market to switch from MK with numeric to the smaller* one but I found these disturbing opinions that the new one is in lower quality?

* also I am surprised that there are no comments that numeric keyboard is unusable for daily usage because you need to push your mouse too far to right and shoulder start hurting very quickly.

Premium for the black keyboard and mouse!! Waiting for Apple to allow the purchase of coloured versions separately which are found along with the 24” iMac

They only offer the silver/white option for the small keyboard. They have the normal one for $99 or the Touch ID version for $149.
I never have an issue with my numeric space gray version and my trackpad next to it. But I don't use a mouse. I like the numeric because the numbers I feel are quicker to use.

It’s a shame that Apple still has not realized that the Magic Mouse is really bad in terms of ergonomics.
I am really thinking about getting this accessory from Kickstarter if it makes it to production.

You can get a $10 Logitech mouse so much more comfortable than the Magic Mouse. Apple has their head in the sand with these.

While I like the idea...this makes the total cost over $130...for a mouse (for the new black one). I guess if you've already purchased the Magic Mouse and can't return it this could work.

I already have a few mouse pads with raised wrist supports. Think I'll try those when I buy my new Magic Mouse. If that doesn't help...I'm sending it back!

Magic Mouse is really great in terms of ergonomics.

It just depends on the person.

The ergos are perfect for my hand.

That's why preferences are subjective.

Actually they came with the iMac Pro as well. But no one remembers the iMac Pro, so not surprising this is already forgotten.

iMac Pro's accessories were Space Gray to match the Space Gray body. The Black/Silver motif was exclusive to the Mac Pro until now.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. I upgraded from the Space Gray Magic Keyboard with Num Pad to the new Silver/Black Magic Keyboard with Num Pad & Touch ID. Build quality is exactly the same and the keys even feel the same.
