If you are having to reboot OS X often, then you have an issue to find. It if very uncommon to have to do that.

True. It's also very uncommon to have to reboot Vista which I guess is the point - both OS X and Vista are pretty stable.

It didn't fix my issues with my 2009 Mac Pro and wireless MM/keyboard. However, on the bright side, it didn't screw up my sleep as it did with a couple of you guys. I put it to sleep (using the power button) before I left for work this morning and it was still asleep when I walked out the door a couple of minutes later. Hopefully it still behaves itself after initial success.

This is Apple's way of saying " we had a problem with bluetooth and iPhone OS 3.0 so we better fix it".

what bluetooth function exists on iphone other than using it for wireless ear pieces. bluetooth on the iphone is a joke. other phones can sync to cars for music playback, to computers for syncing and transferring files . . . all we get is an earpiece. common!

Awsome

this update allows my 15" unibody to be discovered by my iphone 3g running OS 3.0.

Prior to the update, the iphone would only discover headsets. Could still pair, but the pairing had to be initiated from the computer.

Now if only my mini could get an update to become discoverable.

So all in all, still working, just better.

living in the past mate...

Finally! Working with my wireless Mighty Mouse was extremely buggy recently, though it seemed to me more of a system than a firmware issue (worked flawlessly before 10.5.7). Let's hope this fixes it, I don't want to wait for 10.5.8 .)

Another reason for me to skip 10.5.7 and wait for 10.5.8 then. I don't use my Mighty Mouse much, but I have never had a problem with it when I do use it.

I've been having the same problem as most of you. My Apple Keyboard and Rocketfish Mouse would disconnect from time to time. It has been getting extremely frustrating to the point where I am ready to go out and buy a wired keyboard and wired mouse. After installing this update yesterday the problem has not occurred. I hope this fixes it for good!

The bluetooth update did not fix my issue with my wireless mighty mouse and my Macbook Pro on 10.5.7. I still have random disconnects and the only way I can get the mouse to connect again is ti turn the bluetooth off and back on again on my MacBook Pro... Hope 10.5.8 will fix this issue...

Same here. It lasted 24-36 hours, and back again to disconnections... :(
Once again, the list of two problems remains: random bluetooth disconnections and random screen flickering.
I'm disappointed Apple... I know it's important to keep up the market but it's much more important to support the products already sold, specially when they're faulty. I'm afraid that if Snow Leopard doesn't fix both, I'll go to the consumer office and claim for a fix (which so far hasn't been provided) or the money back so I can get one of the products being sold that people don't complain about. I spent a lot of money on this uMBP and I'm not willing to turn off and on the bluetooth all the time nor "enjoy" the flickering...

Same here. Almost 48 hours later, its just disconnected, so I can here to post and let people know that this must not do much for the disconnections, becuase it just did it again.

This update resolved the issues I was having with my older generation Apple Wireless Keyboard connecting to my 2008 iMac. About time... I don't know about anybody else, but I have always had trouble with Bluetooth peripherals on any computer. Old fashioned wireless technology is sooo much more reliable.

Man, I wish this update was for my MBP (purchased March '07). Been having issues with bluetooth since I got it

I got so excited when I saw this update a few days ago, hoping it would fix the wireless mighty mouse disconnecting, but unfortunately, the problem is still there :( Like the majority of you, the only way to get my mouse back up and running is by going up to the bluetooth icon in the menu bar, and actually clicking 'disconnect' and then all of a sudden the keyboard and mouse starts working again......

Come on Apple, we need a proper fix !!

Same here. Very annoying considering I'd like to use my MBP in clamshell mode!

Problem still there...

THIS IS REALLY ANNOYING!!! I'm still loosing connection between my MB and both my wireless Apple keyboard & Mighty Mouse... 3-5 times a day. Seems that this update is not fixing the dropout problems.

BUT WORSE: I bought this keyboard 3 weeks ago to help me work, since my iMac - including its original wired keyboard & mouse - has been in the shop for AppleCare repair since May the 8th --- 6 weeks and counting!!! I took the keyboard to the same Apple Store this past weekend: the genius told me he couldn't replace it or refund: if I wanted it fixed, I should let them repair it for 1-2 weeks... ridiculous!

C'mon Apple, get your act together!!! I've been VERY patient about both issues... but this is just too much.

Has anyone got the contact info for Customer Service?

This is really starting to annoy me too !!

Is anyone here an approved ADC ? I believe you can post a notice on their "bug" forums that will notify them of the issue ? I want a fix for this ASAP !!

Updated and:

No disconnection's and no waking randomly from sleep.

Soo we shall see what happens over the next week.
