I hope Mountain Lion breaks your Mac Mini.

Why such hostility?

In your life, have you ever done something illegal/against the rule?

He's just messing with beta software, he's not selling drugs or anything like that!

For Mac OS X 10.7.3 only  I refuse to install 10.7.3 (sticking with 10.7.2) because of some bugs that it causes.

Not cool. Why isn't 10.7.2/SL supported? Some of those machines aren't running Lion, you know.

I didn't mean physically snapping the thing in two. Christ, some people take things far too seriously.

Phew, I was getting worried you wouldn't get it there for a minute.

The reason behind me posting a screenshot was to show that I did not have any issues updating EFI Firmware on Mountain Lion..

The EFI Boot Rom version has been updated from the original MM51.0077.B0F to MM51.0077.B10.. Not trying to con anybody, just thought would be nice to share for those running the developer preview of Mountain Lion..

Also having using Mountain Lion the minute it was released to developers, I can tell you that software updates do indeed work, apart from this EFI update I did do updates for iWork and they were successful..

have you told engineers at apple because I have bug reports and email from apple engineers confirming this is a known issue.

Yes, I am using ML as we speak & obviously ain't a dev! I was being sarcastic, having a bit of fun. Relax.

Can you do me a favor ? You're obviously not a dev so.

Please click on software update again and tell me if those updates show up again.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9B5141a Safari/7534.48.3)

Download is "flaky" on Mountain Lion. I have to hit install/update several times to get it downloading.

Guess its just the Dev. Preview rick'n'roll you always get with previews.

Moral of the story: people on ML - keep hitting the update button until you succeed. (it does work!)

Thousands of us need one that fixes the blimming MBP '09 EFI 1.7 / 3GB/s problem.

Nope the updates do not show up anymore, It says "0 Updates are Available"

Does the MacBook Pro EFI update fix the SATA3/6g issue with the optical bay in 2011 15" and 17" MBP?

To my understanding, installing a data doubler with a sata3/6g SSD only gets sata2/3g speeds.

Did this fix it?

It's funny. I was being 100% sarcastic. I don't care what anyone else does. I guess it's hard to show sarcasm online. The smiley with sunglasses didn't do the job I suppose.

Um, that picture is under NDA. Unless you are not in the Dev program and then you just posted you have illegal software on your Mac. *wags finger*

EDIT: I should have added the *sarcasm* tag to my post. I really don't give a flying freak what anyone does. More power to you, I actually think ML is going to be okay, it just won't run on my older MacBook.

I bet you were a hall monitor. :D

Macbook Pro Late 2011

refuses to install on my Late 2011 Macbook Pro... says it isn't supported even though their page says it should work on my MBP... currently running B26.. not sure why 27 won't run.

I wonder if this will speed up wake-from-sleep on the 2011 MacBook Air. I'll leave it unplugged tonight and check it out tomorrow morning.

I updated my Early 2011 MacBook Pro, but when it rebooted, the resolution of computer was set really low, even at the grey Apple all the way to the Finder Desktop. I manually set it back to maximum in System Preferences, but after another reboot, the grey Apple screen was displayed in low resolution again. I was able to fix it by resetting the PRAM.

Same here. BTO system ordered in January, wonder if it has some firmware from the factory the updater doesn't recognize.

My MBP would not update on the first attempt. I cleared the PRAM and then it went through fine. Faster boot, and better connection to my NAS. Happy day's.

My iMac and MBA updated fine on the first attempt.

Same here on my late December 2011 MBP. I'm currently running B26. A while ago, I had ReFit set up... that may have something to do with it, or incompatible firmware? Mine was a customized order (i7, 750GB hard drive).
