This is truly groundbreaking stuff, Apple! Way to go!

You don't know the POWER of the dark side! [Vader's on that ship]

We'll find out in about 3 weeks what's in the box.

WHAT does this mean, i dont get it?

See: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/humor

I've got my fingers crossed for higher screen resolution.

I don't think that they can change that in an SDK update...

We already know what's in the box. What we haven't seen is the box itself. I want to see a box that resembles the one the new aluminum remote came in! Or maybe a manila courier envelope? Maybe the box will look like a hardcover book?

Is every beta SDK release going to be a front page story? Come on MR... that's a bit much, even for the people drooling over every bit of news related to the ipad.

This site doesn't care about what it puts on the frontpage you should know that by now. The Editor could hear two bums on the street talking about how a new Mac Pro is coming out next week and suddenly on the frontpage we'll see "Inside sources reveal a new Mac Pro is set to release new week".

What's with the hostility lol. Is this article taking up space where another article could be? No. There's nothing else to talk about.

I heard one the other day: "Spare me a dollar and I'll tell you about the new macbook pro." Or maybe he was a former Apple engineer that left for elevation partners... it's hard to tell.

Sooner than that since we can't submit apps compiled with the beta sdk yet....and we need about a week or so before the release of the iPad so our apps can be approved

Don't you want to test your apps on an actual iPad before you submit them to Apple?

Actually, Arn is one of the more cautious about what he publishes.

I hope this version of iPhone OS and iPhone 4 are substantial improvements.

Not that the current iPhone isn't good enough. But Android is starting to gain traction.

I'm hoping for higher screen resolution with smoother text. The text on Android is very crisp. But this may be difficult to do and be backwards compatible with current apps.

3.2 isn't any substantial improvement over 3.1 for the iPhone, it's a version mainly developed for the iPad, not iPhone. The iPhone most likely won't get any new features in 3.2. The substantial improvements are coming for the 4.0 version instead.

3.2 is going to be an insignificant (possibly nonexistent) iPhone and iPod Touch release.

OS 4.0 is miles off, and won't bring multitasking. That is all.

The key negative terms here are...

"iPhone SDK 3.2 for iPad"

This device should have a more robust operating system than a damn PHONE!

Boy is Steve Jobs' Reality Distortion Field in full gear for the iPAD! HAHA!

PS: I still have a 450MHz Sawtooth Mac (half the iPad's speed) that can do more than the iPad,
but it's not quite as easy to carry around or throw at people. LOL :D

He's admitted to leaving false information in a headline because it sounded better, so I wouldn't be too impressed.

Link?

Who said anything about being impressed? Compared to some of the other crap that gets onto other Apple sites, Arn does a good job in my opinion.

I'm guessing based on the sudden release, they are ramping it up right now to get it released by end of next week in order to flash all the new iPads that's ready to leave.

But, but, but. I thought that the turtlenecked overlord convinced
us that Flash was bad.

Now they're putting Flash on the Ipads! Thank goodness that the
overlord doesn't let dogma get in the way of what the customers
need.

for those b!tching about this being front page. That is why Urkel invented the scrolling technique. I, for one, like readying this info.

also... Arn is a stud. There I said it.
