I updated Safari yesterday. Apparently it's the BridgeOS update.
Did they fix the bug where every time you open the MacBook it connects to the wifi but no internet?
Did they fix the bug where every time you switch user account internet drops and continuity and handoff stop working and the only solution is a reboot?
Can you sync the iPhone with the photo albums again or are they doing this on purpose so people buy their iCloud services?

Are the servers getting obliterated right now or what? I'm on 1GIG internet and the download is barely moving.
Can this version be installed on external SSD? Last version said couldn’t and that‘s how i have my iMac Catalina boot on..:-(
Nice! Just ran a speed test just to make sure my connection was good and I pulled 560mbps with 12ms lag. I should be able to download it quickly but for some reason after about 30 minutes it only downloaded about 400MB and had an estimated 15 hours remaining. I'm just really befuddled.
I'm not a fan of this "preparing" thing at all. Supposedly it's meant to make the time where the machine is non-functional (but updating) faster, but I haven't noticed a difference.
It took over a half hour for it to finally show up. It is 7.15 GB. Oddly, as others reported, it briefly said "1 of 2" without reporting the size but after about 10 minutes it reported the size of the update and time remaining for the download.
Actually I prefer it over the old choice between "not now" and "reboot" if you just wanted to download without rebooting before proceeding with the reboot and executing the install. Now it just downloads, unpacks, and then you can choose to proceed with the install like the iPhone.
How about you download it and find out?
I think something is going on. I'm on gigabit, and the download will not even start.
Is anyone having issues playing songs in Apple Music in Big Sur Public Beta 1 or any of the developer betas? It's really weird... Thanks!
It gets to about 500-600 megs on me and then just stops. I had downloaded the entire thing earlier, but then at the end of preparing, gave an update failed error.
I prefer the 12.13GB version. That is the full installer and I use that to make the bootable usb.

I got basically to the end of preparing when it said it couldn't download some files and I had to quit out. It said to check my internet connection This is after the 7.15GB step, completely at the end. Almost there again on my second attempt.

It shows that your Mac is on the Beta Software Program (aka public beta). They did not release this build to public testers yet. Developers only right now.
Yes, I have issues when I try airplaying my audio to my HomePod while also playing audio on my Mac. It skips the music playback, and is fixed when I choose only one audio output.
It is updating the firmware on your T2 chip. I really hope you are using a spare computer!

my experience with the PB was trying - it only would allow me to install over Catalina. I had to install Catalina on a separate container (I wanted to keep Catalina separately in case the Beta was too buggy or didn’t support some of my 3rd party apps), install the profile, then download and install Big Sur on it.
I hope PB2 isn't far behind

I also hope the graphics driver is improved, I hate sluggish window minimization animation. Bothers me more than a lot of things (notwithstanding stability of course)
