It’s a good thing Apple doesn’t read the thread in the forum dedicated to talking about it then….. 🙄🙄🙄Yeah. Although as anyone with a dev license knows, divulging this stuff breaches the terms and conditions of having a developer license…
Thanks for writing 1 article about the beta drops today instead of 4-5 separate articles for each platform.
I sometimes miss other important articles because of the 4-5 posts about a beta release
Honestly, I think I'd prefer that Apple and others stop with the GIANT FLAGSHIP SOFTWARE RELEASES ONCE A YEAR NO MATTER WHAT and instead just iteratively roll things out in 0.X updates throughout the year.
My wife HATES the September iOS update because she feels like she has to learn everything all over again. "Why can't they just leave it alone instead of changing how I need to do things?"
-----Ah, good; I can live with that middle ground. Personally, I've only been paying attention to macOS betas lately; it'd be…more than a bit cumbersome to have to sort through a combined thread when you're only looking for information and discussion on one OS's preview releases.I appreciate the feedback on the beta posts. This combined format works for early betas when we're unaware of feature sets, but it's harder to maintain when there are separate features for each beta that people want to discuss.
Another issue is that beta posts are prepared ahead of time so we can let MR readers know right away when a beta comes out without delaying, and betas don't always come out all together.
I'll combo when I can, but for the most part beta articles will continue to be separate. When there are no new features in a beta as is often the case with tvOS, we do have a feature for making sure it doesn't take up much space on the front page, which we always use. I've also been comboing tvOS and iOS when possible.
🎣 absolutely!Yeah. Although as anyone with a dev license knows, divulging this stuff breaches the terms and conditions of having a developer license…
