I really hope that given the release of the software it can be determined if there will be multi-user support. I highly doubt it, but the idea that even a couple will both buy a headset, let along a whole family of users....that would have to get REALLY cheap to make that a reality. If people can share it with different profiles, I see the adoption maybe happening faster. But with Apple's assumed stance with the iPad that they want people to buy their own, I won't hold my breath that they will allow it with this device.
There's a guest according to 9to5mac article.

Don't count on multi-user support, based on the pitiful multi-user support on Apple TV (no authentication, etc).

Can't wait to read the forums in AR.

That UI is just gorgeous. It boggles my mind how VR is over a decade old and companies haven't figured out the bare minimum for user experience, and then Apple comes out with their most minimalistic home screen that just works.
Mark Zuckerberg is taking notes, don’t worry.

I think they were talking about this in the keynote, that the OpticID will recognize different people and switch to the correct user when putting on the headset.
I recently re-watched the Keynote and there was no mention about different people using a headset. However, by several other replies, it looks like there will be a Guest mode which I guess is better than nothing.

Guest mode is fine because people are going to share.

but this brings up the Bigger elephant in the room ignored by many: multiple user logins for iPadOS.

Why don’t we have it?

Tim wants you to buy one for each kid!

Watch the cheaper VisionPro model not offer multiple user. That will be left as
a pro feature.

We don’t have it because Apple is a hardware company at the end of the day.

They’d prefer you buy a cheaper model (older gen/refurb) or down-cycle your current one to your kid/parents/etc than make it multi-user.

Looks like the PlayStation Vita Home Screen to me.
