The threat of flaws exploited by jailbreaks isn't that somebody might jailbreak your phone. That's a bit like robbers using an unlocked door to enter your house and cook dinner.

oh boy, here we go with I dont like jailbreaking/I like jailbreaking, jailbreaking is wrong/jailbreaking is right...

you are holding the 'wrong' phone....:D

Haha! I'm starting to think that! My son's trying to get me to look at a One Plus One. Nice phone. But Android, eww.

C'mon, Apple, please make my iPhone 5 "just work" again. :(

I hope 8.1.1 will fix the jetsam event issue, which then will fix the battery life issue on the 6 Plus.

Agreed. I was looking at diagnostics this morning and I have at least 5 per day as well as a ton of other issues.

Will this fix how Safari runs like garbage on my iPad Mini 1st gen?

It's my only complain about iOS8. I don't care about some frames dropping during animations. But when I type a URL into safari, and it takes a few seconds for the iPad to catch up with what I typed, that lag is a HUGE problems.

Try,
Reducing number of tabs
Turning off Favorites
Resetting History and Cache
Run with, then without, then with Java
A normal device restart

Something I did above using Safari turned a laggy iPad 3 into an acceptable iPad 3.

...shouldn't have to turn features off though to get your device running how it should in the first place!!

Marvelous. Been eagerly await some fixes for my beloved iPad 2.

I know you guys don't have a crystal ball, but can anyone offer an opinion as to how long it will be before the general release of 8.1.1?

Hopefully this drops days after a Pangu Mac version is released. It kills the jailbreak, so I really hope I'm jailbroken before it releases.

Jailbreak > newest iOS version

Around 2 weeks from today is the usual time frame.

please let this fix the Bluetooth drivers that have royally messed up the hands free and music streaming over Bluetooth in VW / Audi vehicles. The last update to 8.1 have rendered hands free useless.

What..? I don't mean will it ship with it, obviously. I mean will the update be out by the time I receive the phone so I can setup it up as a new phone through iTunes on 8.1.1. You see?

Haha I see now..By the way it was worded I was like wtf how would the update make the phone. What difference does it make if the update comes out before or after you get the new phone?

How did you interpret my post as either being for or against jailbreaking? I don't give a rats either way about jailbreaking. (Am I allowed to have a neutral position in these forums?)

I hope this fixes the low earpiece volume on the 6 plus !

I cant use my phone as....a phone.....

I had the same problem with a SAMSUNG note until I discovered that due to its unusable size as a phone I was not putting the earpiece on my ear. I bet you are experiencing the same issue here. Just try to align the earpiece to your ear;)

You don't understand the joy of jailbreaking. :(

Wow... turning off Javascript made a huge different with typing into the URL bar. Also turning off all the search features like suggestions and preloading top hit made a difference too.
