Did anyone notice the icon on Home screen had Drop shadow effect?
i think it's very nice on iOS 7
Hope that will introduce on iOS 7 next Update...:)

the wallpaper looks different too than the stock on iOS 7 Wallpaper

I agree, this would be a welcome addition.

Is the home button on the 5S flat as opposed to the concave it has been on all previous models?
Also loving the "subject to availability" bit at the end, just about sums up the lack of Gold 5S' that seems to be everywhere

Is it though? Apple has been a fashion brand for a long time, it's nothing new. Remember the silhouette iPod dancing commercials? It's always been one of their primary advantages, but they have many.

Yes because it acknowledges the fact. Specs matter little except that they are the means to an end that is called user experience, they aren't there for their own sake with Apple, and they don't market them as such. They market an integrated fashion statement that is meant to wow you with its physical beauty, the instantaneous response of its slick and smooth and intuitive UI, and the "it just works" nature of the OS. All aimed at the non-techie consumer market.

This is as opposed to spec-based marketing aimed at those who care about one-upping processor clock times and number of graphics cores and screen size, etc. Yes they talk about these things at the keynotes, but not in their advertising.

lol..
neat ad..

Its getting to be of something we all love...

Apple has this weird way of hypnotizing us all with subliminal advertising..

But i'm not fooled into cuddling my iPhone up at night, even if it was an iPhone 5s..

I've left you for a phone..... (no, that doesn't go down well...)

Care to explain?

I might be missing some cultural context.

Alcoholic beverages and the iPhone serve different purposes, so it would matter how the ad is laid out. Both should try to make the product look desirable, but an alcoholic beverage is a lot more about sensation than a phone is.

Undeniably, they are staying. But they're not fine. They're terrible in every way. They are all amateurish and bland, but not stylistically consistently so; they are each ugly in their own unique way. Some don't even represent any semblance of the app they launch; just meaningless colors to memorize instead of obvious icons. And their color contrasts are wrong; they are literally painful to look at.

As for the ad, ditto that it's all style and beauty, high-end sleek, until the embarrassing software shot at the end. Ad would have been far more impactful had the final scene simple shown the screen off, or at least on the lock screen with a cool wallpaper (and of course one that doesn't reveal how poorly the lock screen renders text if you use the wrong kind of background).

You need to let it go... iOS 7 is the future, we're not getting skeuomorphism again. Things change and you have to learn to live with them.

It's not the lack of skeuomorphism that is a problem with iOS 7 (in my opinions). It's the drawn out animations that makes it slower than necessary to operate when switching between apps, going to the home screen and then back on an app and so on.

It's also the occasional lack of visual response when pressing some ”buttons” (I know that they're not buttons in that sense, but at least you should get some kind of feedback in the software when you press something to trigger an action).

And the keyboard which is difficult to know when it's in caps mode or not.

Just a few examples. :)
