Wonder what the difference is between those of us with a 109MB download, and those with a 39MB one? Obviously those of us with a larger download have the super-deluxe version of Leopard with lots more functionality 🙂 ...

...and more to fix. 🙁

Sorry, just filling time while my MB installs the update and reboots...

that didn't take long. Good to see. C'mon you beta testers, let us know of any issues!

hehe. 😛

I'll sleep on it and have a look at this thread in the morning.
Depending on the balance between Positive or Negative votes decide whether to install.

Oh please fix the wifi connecting to Airport Express. Having to connect the lappy to the ethernet is driving me to drink...

And I really don't want to spill on the keyboard.

Yeah, I'm with you on that one. I want to see if it breaks anything first. 😉

FYI:

My PPC Quad G5 rebooted twice.
My Mac mini Core Duo 1.66 and my MacBook Pro Core Duo 2 GHz simply rebooted once after upgrading.

That installer (on the blue background) took forever on my MacBook, and actually had me worried for a little while... oh and the restart was really slow, too...

But I just let it be and when it finally rebootes, 10.5.1 seems very nice. 🙂

Hieratical menus in Stacks?

Better icons for Stacks?

Text messaging from Address Book again?

No, thought not... 🙁

no problems here so far

I'm going to run Time Machine today so that I can recover if anything goes wrong and then update.

But so far, I've heard of no issues.

the size of the file is a whole lot smaller than the 10.4.11 update, probably because they spent more time on the 10.4.11 one

does new update fixi WD external firewire drives?

Can anyone confirm the update fixing firewire issues with WD external drives?
thanks

seriously? that's weird.

I have a 12" PB but have not installed 10.5 yet. A question... how does Leopard run on it? Better than Tiger?
Not better than Tiger IMHO, but pretty damn decently considering.

I'm just waiting for someone to chime in and say the reason the 12" PB doesn't have the transparent menubar is because its graphics card isn't up to it. 🙄

Just loaded it on my MBP.

Repairing permissions still takes ages!
Then don't repair permissions. We're not still using 10.1 you know.

And that's something worth getting upset about?

I have Leopard on my 12" PB (1.5 GHz, 1.25 GB), and honestly, I hadn't even noticed whether the menu bar was transparent or not. Now I'll have to check when I get home...
Trust me, it isn't.
