So it seems you have to update from the 1st build of 10.11.1 beta to the 2nd(?) build of 10.11.1 before you can get the update for 10.1.2 beta?

What about those of us not having trouble? What makes us different from those who are? I have a GMail account, an iCloud email account, and a Yahoo email account all working perfectly well with El Capitan. I didn’t lose any folders, any archived mail, none of the reported problems others have.

Things like this have always fascinated me.
I work in software testing, and the full config of your system including unexpected interactions from loaded software can impact a wide range of things. I go with incremental builds, too, where as other people might get different results from a clean install.

In my specific case it is POP3 email that is having trouble, and I don't think any of the accounts you mention would use that?

Since yesterday I'm trying ton install on a 2009 iMac with no success on the download. It starts the download, then stops out of the blue.

Good to see progress. Strangely, El Cap runs with more problems on my main 2012 MBP machine than on my spare Mac Mini2010 and MBP 2010. But I always had problems with anything running an i7 processor. Energy waster for not so much goodies.

No complaining. There always are little issues and glitches when changing a system. Nothing that can not be solved with a little patience and some walk-arounds. At this stage, I am not downloading betas anymore. But for those who do: Have fun!

Overall I think, El Cap way better than anything else since (but exclusively) SL. Slowly, the system becomes better and better. The UI is clean and fast, the core tech is solid. What more do I want. Give it two more dot updates and the step forward will have been worth it.

Just install the release version of 10.11.1 first.

So if you are on the dev build and you install this pub build, what ver # do you get?

How are the speeds for opening MS Office? Mine bounce 10 times in the dock before opening (I counted). Wasn't like that before.

Also... How about the Bluetooth-wifi interference? Or whatever the problem is? It is driving me crazy.

I guess I'm gonna try to roll back to Yosemite, not sure I like having 10.11.2 (15C30), could be full of bugs. I still don't know how I got that version of El Cap.

Hey Guys, today I decided to do a fresh install of 10.11.1 via the recovery partition. What it installed is 10.11.2 with a build number 15C30 not the 27b. I am guessing this is the final release that got into the apple installer by mistake?
you got early release. :D

Wait, this is a good thing. You can check to see if there's anything wrong in that version.

Took the plunge and installed it. So far there is literally no noticeable difference for me at least. Notification centre's reminders widget still remains broken...ugh.

Better than Yosemite? Yes, not surprising given the number of bugs in Yosemtie.
Better than Mavericks? No. I don't see removing usable features as progress. (Disk Utility has been shot, Photos is a joke, Spotlight isn't finding things it could find in Mavericks, user interface is childish compared to Mavericks, etc.) To add insult to injury many bugs from Yosemite haven't been fixed, such as Time Machine, Finder and Image Capture.

In nutshell when I use Mavericks everything works, if I use Yosemite things don't work and if I use El Capitan things work mostly.

Apple today seeded the first beta of OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan to public beta testers, just days after releasing the first beta to developers and just over a week after the public launch of OS X El Capitan 10.11.1.

The new beta is available through the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store to those who are enrolled in Apple's beta testing program. Those wishing to join the program can sign up on Apple's beta testing website.

It's not yet known what improvements the latest update to OS X El Capitan will bring, but it's likely to include bug fixes, security enhancements, and performance improvements to address issues discovered since the release of OS X 10.11.1. Apple's release notes for the first developer beta asked testers to focus on Graphics, Wi-Fi, Calendar, USB, Notes, Photos, and Spotlight.

I hope the update includes a fix to be able to drag and drop from Photos. Since I installed El Capitan I can no longer do this. For example to send a picture by mail I have to open mail and then attach the picture, also can not move to desktop or external disk. Really horrible problem that I wish is solved with this update

YES PLEASE. So I can stop using iPhoto.

Although I am pretty sure this is "a feature" and there is a 10-minute movie somewhere where Jony Ive and Phil Schiller explain how this greatly enhances customer experience. :/
