No, the only major issue I've had so far is after installation it restarted without a cursor. I had to force shut down, then when it came back all was well.

Bladerunner2000 is not alone in this issue. I use the current system just fine. However, this is an issue for many. I am in education, this is by far the biggest issue that comes up with Macs at our locations. The Dock and the Menu bar disappear and then they are lost. This is especially an issue when the Dock and Menu stay hidden. (This happens far more often than it should.) Fortunately ESC twice will solve the issue.

For long time Mac users this is not an issue, however, having to manually resize windows ever time you open Preview or pages gets really old after a while. No one around here can figure out Apple's stance on this matter. It seems like Henry Ford with his black only autos.

My preference for what its worth:

- Double click on the title bar to autosize.
- Full Screen button like Mountain Lion.
- Green button, Maximize the Window (Full sized window with Dock and Menu visible).

Provides more functionality than either Linux or Windows.

Don’t install if you have external drives with other operating systems and you need to boot from them.

Those are the expected behaviors, and if you like Windows, then use Windows and you get windows behavior. You always complain about Apple as a company, Apple hardware and Apple software anyways.

Everybody knows you don't want anything from Apple.

You surely don't even use a Mac, because you can set the green button to just maximize.

And Cmd+X would be stupid, because Cmd+X deletes the selection right aways, and that's not what happens on Finder on any file manager when you select "cut".

Actually BladeRunner2000 has been a community member for many years here on MacRumors.

You may not like his suggestions, fine. I'm ok with that. However, while his views may differ from yours, other may agree with him. In fact, based on my experience in education, his point of view is held by many other Mac users. Look at the popularity of all these window management programs on the Mac like Moom & Magnet.

Looking forward to Mojave! Not really interested in dark mode but if others like it, fine - no issues. However, I think I may find the other new enhancements useful.

Features I would like to see:

Free rotation of images in Preview and Quickview, not in increments of 90 degrees.

Option to change how Messages handles the return key. In iOS the return key moves to the next line. On the Mac it sends the message. Either make them the same or let the user choose.

Larger text option in Contacts. Don't need to increase the text size of the whole system, just Contacts.

Improve the handling of windows. There is a reason why Magnet and Moom along with other such apps are very popular.

MacOS Mojave. Inspired by the desert.

Because a vast, empty, lifeless wasteland truly captures how Apple feels about the Mac.
If you believe that the Mojave is empty and lifeless, then I fear that probably says more about your own ignorance then it does about how Apple feels about the Mac.

Translation... Apple doesn't care what desktop customers want.

It's sad when a troll argues that among all of an operating system's many new features, the main one is whichever he finds least compelling.
Nice try but I'm not arguing anything. I am simply referring to the article's text.

i wonder if the macoS Mojave will ever support airplay 2? since apple didn't make any statement

...

Did they fix the finder finally having cmd+x and cmd+v to move files from one location to another? How can you not follow a common command like that in something so critical like The Finder?

If you paste a copied file with Cmd+Opt+V, it deletes it on the other end which is essentially what you are looking for...

I agree that this would be nice to have. But cmd+c and cmd+option+v does the same thing. And once it's in your muscle memory it's not too annoying. Still slightly less convenient than cmd+x and cmd+v though.

whoops... :)

Can it instantly tell the size of a folder or it takes time too? Incidentally this was the feature of APFS and despite Apple's claim it doesn't work in High Sierra.

Their desktop computers still offer all the same ports, or in the case of iMac Pro even more ports than the 5K iMac. Only their notebooks have transitioned entirely to TB3.

But hey, lets just exaggerate things and perpetuate obnoxious memes that have turned Macrumors away from being an actually insightful and interesting place to discuss Macs with others in the community. Nah, lets just fill the place with poison and turn it into a toxic wasteland. Can we please move on with the damn dongle memes yet? On a notebook, having FOUR thunderbolt 3 ports is so incredibly powerful and versatile. Don't let the drawbacks blind you from the potential.

I guess its just more fun to be angry and perpetuate memes on this forum.

People that use and care about the Mac should be fine with no new features on a major release as long as stability is the focus. With Mojave it is. That's why so many people here are failing to understand how anyone could be complaining about the main *new* feature being dark mode. I'm glad dark mode is coming. And I'm glad they haven't added much more. We've been desperately needing better stability.

I first started using Macs right after Snow Leopard came out. That set an expectation for me because I remember how bugs and glitches literally just never happened. It's a shame how buggy OS X (whoops - I mean Mac OS) has gotten over the past several years. I for one am hoping this resolves a lot of the long-standing stability issues.

I don’t understand why there needs to be a choice between stability/performance and new features. It’s freaking Apple!! If they can’t deliver a fast and stable OS with great new features, who the heck can?? (Besides MS)

Fair enough. But that says more about MacRumors and the temptation of journalists working to a deadline to reduce complex pictures to a catchy hook than it says about Apple.

If you had watched the WWDC keynote address, as I did, you would know that Mojave offers many more new features than Dark Mode.

There is such a thing as convention and Apple should follow it. Apple should adjust, not its users.

Are you being serious?

I don't like cheese, you like cheese, oh my god, Supermarket can't get anything right.

There is a such a thing as differences between people and Apple tries to dictate more and more what I can and cannot do on MY devices.

How does Mojave behave when working with an external 4K monitor? After installing High Sierra a week ago, I noticed a mayor dropdown in graphics performance (switching between apps was annoyingly slow), so I downgraded back to Sierra where graphic performace is acceptable. I'm working on a MacBook Pro Mid 2012 with both integrated and dedicated GPU)

Oh, no, actually Darwin is free and open source. Go, take it, and rebuild the Mac OS the way you want it to suit your desires.

You are using a closed source OS. Of course that Apple is gonna dictate how it is gonna look and behave. Same the Microsoft does with Windows.

If you want to be free, pick some Linux distro and go with it.
