judging by how bad my HomePods have been at syncing lately I just imagine that would wind up being a disasterHow exciting. Now make them pair with a full size pair as true surround speakers.
There’s 50 shades of space gray and now 50 shades of midnightNo one is pointing out how this is a different Midnight from the MacBook Air?
A replaceable cable would help imho. I destroyed the plug of one of my minis but instead of replacing a cheap cable, Apple is only replacing the whole homepod for a slight discount. In the end I found out the cable configuration and spliced in a cheap usb-c cable. But still, that's quite a user- & environmentally hostile and plain bad design.Truth be told I don’t know what a HomePod mini would actually need in an update until they ready to put a chip capable of Apple intelligence in them. Im still using several full size original HomePods that don’t feel a need to be replaced unless they break
It's not mind blowing at all. They aren't a Home Theater product. Some users have dragged the product kicking and screaming into this space, and Apple has begrudgingly made some small software concessions to make the experience less bad (like letting Apple TV remember them as output device). But it was never intended to be a serious entry in Home Theater, and still isn't.Agree. Why they haven't done this yet is mind blowing.

Dark Helmet: Before you die there is something you should know about us, Lone Starr.Sooo. Whats different? 🤔
Doesn't have to be a "serious entry" when it could easily be a "passable" product in this space. If they didn't want people using it that way they shouldn't have allowed them to be paired with an apple tv. But pairing a set of these with a set of full sized homepods would be enough of a "home theatre" for 90% of people...It's not mind blowing at all. They aren't a Home Theater product. Man you really did some mental gymnastics for apple there by them calling black "midnight."People making fun as usual, but midnight is a stunning and exclusive color shade from Apple. I am delighted Midnight is slowly working its way through the ecosystem of devices.
