Alongside iOS 15.2, Apple today released a new 15.2 software update for the HomePod and the HomePod mini.

The HomePod 15.2 software adds support for the $4.99 per month Apple Music Voice Plan, a Siri-based option for listening to Apple Music on HomePod and other devices.
Software version 15.2 includes support for Apple Music Voice Plan, a new subscription tier designed to access music using Siri, and extends Siri voice recognition to new languages. This update also includes performance and stability improvements.
Today's update adds several new languages to the HomePod in addition to introducing Apple Music Voice Plan. There's now support for the following languages:

- Dutch (Belgium)
- Dutch (Netherlands)
- French (Belgium)
- French (Switzerland)
- German (Switzerland)
- Italian (Switzerland)
- Russian

‌‌‌‌‌‌HomePod‌‌‌‌‌‌‌ software is installed automatically on the ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌HomePod‌‌‌ unless the feature is disabled‌‌‌‌, but the ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌HomePod‌‌‌‌‌‌‌ can also be manually updated in the Home app by following the instructions in our HomePod‌‌ update how to.

Yes but does it fix HomeKit??? Back to iOS 14 levels of working correctly???

Doesn't Apple Music already work with Siri? Not sure what's new about this plan?

I don't understand what Apple Music Voice Plan actually is. If I'm already subscribed to Apple Music as part of a family plan, does this not apply to me?

No, it does not apply. Voice plan cost $4,99 per month, and it only works via Siri (voice control). No app support. No lossless and atmos.

My HomePod stereo pair are telling me my account is not logged in. And none of my homepods (regular and mini) know where I am - when I ask for weather they say "weather for where?" Not sure what has gone wrong with this update.
Close the Home app entirely. Flick up to close it out.
Then re-open. You’ll be prompted to enable location services for all of your HomePods.
Must be part of the update. I just had that happen.

Oh no thank you for the update then I will not update. I’m taking everything back to iOS 14 even my HomePod mini. I need my house fixed this is enraging. ???
iOS 14 is till available I’m going back. I don’t SharePlay or FaceTime android links. I need my smart house fixed!!! Steve Jobs is rolling in his grave!!! What’s wrong with Apple today? All their software sucks now!!! Boo apple you missed the mark again. ?‍♂️

What issue? There is no issue with HomeKit. Just Works.
Lol no it doesn’t. I can no longer say hey Siri turn off the living room tv. Broken. Hey Siri turn off the living room lights. Broken. Hey Siri set the upstairs temperature to anything. Broken. Everything is broken in HomeKit for iOS 15 since launch. Where have you been. I have my whole house in HomeKit and as soon as I updated to iOS 15 it all broke. I just spent 2000$ on a new LG tv that worked with Siri until I updated to iOS 15. iOS 15 has a broken HomeKit. I am so angry I spent all this money and everything worked perfectly in iOS 14 and iOS 15 broke everything I spent my hard earned money in and was so awesome when it worked. Now not so much.

Strange, no issues here.
