After the progress bar loaded completely for the first time the screen turned off and on again and the bar started from 0 but loaded a lot faster, then it turned off and on again and showed the apple logo and the password screen after.
That`s normal. Is this your first Apple Device?

No, but honestly I don't think I've ever paid any attention to the update process. I usually click install and forget about it, when I check back it has finished already. This time I needed the phone to start working again to make a call, so I was looking at the screen the whole time. Anyway, I guess it was a little slow but noting out of the ordinary.

Apple today released iOS 10.1.1, the third official update to the iOS 10 operating system, one week after releasing iOS 10.1 with Portrait Mode and just over six weeks after providing the new iOS 10 operating system to the public.

Today's update fixes bugs including an issue where Health data could not be viewed for some users. iOS 10.1.1 can be downloaded as a free over-the-air update on all iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch models compatible with iOS 10.

iOS 10 is a major update that includes features like a redesigned Lock screen experience, a revamped Messages app with a full App Store, a Siri SDK for developers, new looks and features for Maps and Apple Music, and tons more. Make sure to check out our iOS 10 roundup for details.

Update: Apple has subsequently stopped signing iOS 10.0.2 and iOS 10.0.3, meaning that users can no longer downgrade to those software versions.

[doublepost=1478009418][/doublepost]No haptic feedback of any sort after updating to 10.1.1 this morning. Went into settings, turned haptics off, rebooted, turned them back on, rebooted again. Still no luck. Anyone else having this issue?

Has anyone else lost the haptic feedback in the home button on a 7/7+ after this update?!

Yes!

Battery life?! I did the OTA Update ca. 20 Min after release. This morning: Battery at 9% managed to enter Facebook and to activate LOW Power Mode. After some seconds... Shut off! -->Charger. My battery is ok. Apple checked it, some weeks ago.

iPhone 6

iPhone 7Plus. Yesterday after updating and charging to 100% I got 11 hours of usage and 15 hours of standby. Battery life is pretty darn good. iPhone 6 is an older device, its possible that your battery has started to fail.

Started to fail? As I said before, a Genius did a diagnose some weeks ago. Everything fine apart from some App crashes.

I charged it to 100% and some hours have passed now. Barely used, still at 100%. I´ll keep an eye on this.

A battery can fail overnight. It is a very common symptom of a battery beginning to fail is if it shuts off before it reaches 0. Also Genius diagnostics aren't the most reliable when it comes to up to date battery checking. If you have a Mac, try Coconut Battery. Coconut battery gives a real-time status of your battery health. Genius bar diagnostics give the average over the last 2 weeks. Therefore, if your battery has begun to fail in the last 72 hours, the diagnostic would not pick it up. Its not till a minimum of 2+ weeks after the battery has failed that the diagnostic will show that.

iPhone 6 is only rated for 500 cycles before the battery will begin to fail. Some people can make it to a 1000 cycles, others to 300. If you have had your iPhone for over a year, you are most likely over 300 cycles. Being that it is an iPhone 6, you could be over 600 cycles depending on when you purchased it.

No, I don`t have a Mac. Didn´t know about the average 2 weeks, thanks. This happened the first time, this morning on my iP6.

Keep an eye on it. If it progressively gets worse within the next month, I would head back to an Apple Store. It could be a one time fluke, or it could be early symptoms.

With one of the last updates my battery got sucked. Same thing happened on that night to a family member with a 6S. Afterwards satisfying behavior at least considering my device.

Yes!

I'm going into an Apple Store today to get this checked out, I'll let you know if I find anything out.

Not sure how many times I need to say it. and will be the LAST time I do. 10.0.1 was PUBLIC release. No one UPDATED to 10.0. It was NEVER released.

I received my 7+ on launch day. It came with 10.0. It was the first phone that I had to update on launch day to a newer version. It actually took hours and several attempts and resetting to getting it installed (I guess the servers were busy on launch day). So I was not the most happy on launch day and certainly will count 10.0.1 as update even so I understand Apple wouldn't have done it, if it wouldn't have been important.

But no matter how you count, I had to update from 10.0 to 10.0.1 and subsequent updated to 10.0.2, 10.0.3, 10.1 and 10.1.1. This is 5 updates I had to install and this to me was unusual.

On the other side most updates brought improvements and my battery life is amazing. Struggled with max. volume via bluetooth on 10.1, but it seems better with 10.1.1. I spent some time in my career earning money with programming and I do understand that especially on large projects it's not an easy task to have a smooth transition in an major upgrade.

Overall I think Apple is doing a fairly good job and is having comparable little issues for their software releases. Personally I don't mind that they released 5 updates since the initial installed 10.0 on my phone. I prefer quicker updates if it helps to address bugs. In the past Apple in my view sometimes waited too long to address bugs in bigger releases.

But I understand no matter how many (big or little) bugs they have and no matter if they release 0, 1 or 10 updates, they will not satisfy everyone. But I do think they will satisfy a large portion of their customers, which I happen to be one of them and I am satisfied with 10.1.1.

To me its fast and the interface fluid with an awesome battery life.

My point still stands, 10.0.0 was never released to the public, therefore no one actually updated to it. My 7Plus came with 10.0 as well. But I did not update to it. So it truly cannot be counted and as update. 10.0.1 was final release. Anyone that did not have a launch day iPhone 7 did not received that build.

I did receive 10.0.0 on my phone. So it was released to Millions of people who got a launch day phone. For others (like my iPhone 6) I agree that 10.0.1 was the public release with 4 updates which is probably many more millions than those who got a launch day phone. But for my brand new phone I had to make 5 updates and so did you. Or how would you call it if phone is on 10.0.0 upon delivery and you update your "firmware" to 10.0.1 on launch day. Are you saying we didn't update. We were just expected to install the public release?
