i have those, Google DNS servers. In fact google is also extremely slow.

Ah darn. Sorry, no other suggestions.
[doublepost=1477947619][/doublepost]Well whatever its worth, battery life on 10.1.1 seems to be slightly better than 10.1.

Just finish updated my iPhone 7 Plus, my sister's iPhone 6 Plus and also iPad Air 2. All updated complete and seems working perfectly without any issue.

After the update, my iPad Pro 12.9 is showing bizarre home screen behavior. The app icons move around like they are another layer of a perspective wallpaper. This lasted for about 5 seconds, then they aligned properly. I rebooted, and noticed them doing it again after switching from an app to the home screen. Its hard to describe- but very odd behavior to witness. (It does not do this consistently- I haven't found a method to replicate it yet)

Doesn't it seem like apple has so many bug updates lately? I feel like im on my ps4 and every update is to increase stability.

Does this address the lack of snappiness in safari? Serious question. Ever since the last update, my ipad's safari doesn't load certain pages like even macrumors and i have to keep refreshing until it "just works"
Noticed the same, i.e. iOS browsers are very slow or not loading at all since the update.

Did it address the animation bug......until then I will stick to 10.0.1 on both iPad pros......the last update messed up my wifi on the larger iPad Pro and I had to reset device to new to fix it so don't care about updates for now until i see legitimate problems solved????

Well I have two words also: Poor Quality

Call them security updates, call them bug fixes, call them abortions during Halloween, I don't care what you call them or how you try to spin this. They ALL fall into the category of software defects, defects where some Apple software engineer made a coding mistake, a product manager incorrectly specified some functionality, or maybe some omission from Apple ... they are all "bugs", and I return to my previous statement.

Five updated versions of IOS 10 (bug fixes, security fixes, change the color of a happy face, etc.) in less than seven weeks since the release of IOS 10 is pathetic and should never be tolerated.

You know, if you don't like it, then go buy an Android or Microsoft phone. The Android people get mad because they don't get updates. I know; I was one of them.

Apple has a pretty rigorous hardware release schedule. Every 12 months. They try to time the iOS releases for the same timeframe and have succeeded so far. However, I'm sure that schedule has had an impact on features and, yes, bugs. The bugs are, for the most part, mere annoyances. I'll take the minor annoyance of having to update a few times over not getting an update at all on a 12 month old phone.

In the grand scale of human endeavors, I'd say Apple has done a pretty good job. Millions of lines of code and 99% of users never experience a problem great enough to complain about. Compare that with just about any other complex system and I'd say it's right up there near the top in initial quality. It's not a rocket that explodes on a launchpad; a jet engine that blows up in mid flight or a car that won't start inexplicably...all considerably more serious "bugs" than anything you can find to complain about.

And let's stop with "what Steve would have done." We have no way of knowing. Plus, he DID let MobileMe ship in its buggy form and was personally responsible for the defective antennae on iPhone 4,so he was definitely not perfect. His virtue was learning from mistakes and fixing them: exactly what is being done here.

Yea I guess they are learning a lot ... how to release a product with nearly a half dozen releases in quick succession to clean up their mistakes. Love the Apple spin, thanks and kumbaya hugs.

My iPhone 7 and iPod Touch won't play via USB, you have to set it to play, then unplug it, plug it back in and then it plays ALL since iOS 10... this is with Fords Sync version one on the latest software, Apple have a habit though of breaking car system connections, they don't even use all the official Bluetooth stacks.

You are so right apolloa!

Numerous people have posted on this very website about Bluetooth auto sync problems since IOS 10 was released. I have seen this first hand, in the past my BMW 530xi synced fine via Bluetooth to my iPhone 6s prior to IOS 10. Now the contact names/numbers synced from my iPhone and displayed on the BMW screen only show the person's name and number, BUT no longer show what type of number (e.g., work, home, fax, mobile, etc.).

So now because Apple apparently broke Bluetooth, based on the numerous complaints from other car owners driving different model cars, I get to break the law by picking up my iPhone while I'm driving to select the particular number for the person I want to call.

Thank you Apple for breaking Bluetooth auto sync for so many of your customers.

Jobs' reaction to MobileMe is legendary thanks to Adam Lashinsky's reporting.
Jobs gathered the MobileMe team in Apple's auditorium, and according to Lashinsky, said
"You've tarnished Apple's reputation ...
You should hate each other for having let each other down."

He then replaced the leader of MobileMe on the spot.
The clear implication: Do your job, do it well, or you will be fired.

And there, my dear fellow Apple lovers, is the entire crux of the matter right there.
Listen to the drive, the committment, the passion in Steve's voice.

"You've tarnished Apple's reputation ...
You should hate each other for having let each other down."

Can you imagine for one second even anything remotely like this coming out of Tim Cook's mouth?
Of course not.
Some people have a fetish for saying "up" when everyone else
is saying "down" and everybody else is right.
But I'm done beating my head against the wall trying to "convince" these people.
Tim Cook is an ineffectual CEO, and that is that.
A supply-side bean counter? Oh, he's the best in the business!
But not as being a CEO of a company. Certainly not a company like Apple.
And Apple's not really a company company.
It's Steve & Woz's fantasy dreamworld of digital delights.
A company unlike any other in the history of corporations.
And Steve commanded it as such.
A person like Tim Cook as ZERO place as the boss of such a company.

And a quick mention about all the iOS updates.
I bring up the quote I did at the beginning to illustrate just how
much Steve believed in software & apps as "magic".
He even famously referred to the iPad as "a magical device".
Look how he reacted to something as inconsequential as "MobileMe".
How do you think he'd reacted to iOS in it's current state ...?

The reason for all the updates is cruft.
iOS is very rapidly becoming the bloated mess that is iTunes.
And rather than strip it all down and build fresh, they're just gonna keep patching it as they go along. Building & building & building on itself, which, of course, will exponentially increase the updates.
Wonder why everything on your iDevice seems to have a two-beat lag to it? This is why.

I haven't lost any health data, but the Health app itself seems like a lost cause in iOS 10. I can't understand why Apple revised the app to make it more difficult to view your stats. It's now a three-step process, when before all I had to do was simply launch the app.

It's part of the new business plan. Make things worse, increase prices ;)

Has anyone else lost the haptic feedback in the home button on a 7/7+ after this update?!

Battery life?! I did the OTA Update ca. 20 Min after release. This morning: Battery at 9% managed to enter Facebook and to activate LOW Power Mode. After some seconds... Shut off! -->Charger. My battery is ok. Apple checked it, some weeks ago.

iPhone 6

Hey everyone, just out of curiosity how long did it take for this to install on your iPhones?
I'm on a 7+ and it was incredibly slow for a 60mb update. It was stuck in the apple logo screen with the loading bar not doing anything for 5 minutes or so, then it started working but my device restarted at least 2 times. I was worried for a while but it finished and everything seems fine.

It took a while on all our devices, iPhone 6 and 5 and iPad 4. Restart? You mean first slower loading bar and the faster one afterwards? Installation and check, if I´m not wrong, so absolutely normal. My iP6 takes long to show up the Logo before Installation starts, noticed with iOS 10, before that didn´t happen.

Took five minutes. Maybe even less.

After the progress bar loaded completely for the first time the screen turned off and on again and the bar started from 0 but loaded a lot faster, then it turned off and on again and showed the apple logo and the password screen after.
