This is purely speculative. It is also possible that they are still vulnerable. One plausible possibility is that Apple is waiting for Broadcom to fix their firmware for chips used in the devices that didn't receive a patch in 11.1, as indicated in the post that @vlad_djkax quoted above.

Given the severity of this vulnerability, I think Apple owes its users a clarification, and soon.
Perhaps, but I researched it quite a bit yesterday and there are several folks, some security experts, that have provided this info. (Steve Gibson for one who has been around for eons) I agree 100% Apple needs to weigh in and not the level one genius's at the store that simply relay the info that's published in the security document. But quite possible they are waiting on Broadcom to provide new drivers. I believe that is also what ASUS is waiting on for some of their routers.

So far NO. I reboot after updating, just habit. But, I lost 8 % points overnight. Looked at the apps and saw Google Maps was set to refresh. Turned it off and will see.

Unfortunately it isn’t better for me either. After leaving my phone unplugged all night (started at 100%) I just got a low battery warning for 20% at 8:15am. Not good.

You must have something weird going on with your phone. On 11.1 my regular 7 128GB lost 2% in 13 hours of standby and 33 minutes of use.

Anyone run into this problem when simply typing "it"

Well good, I'll download this to see if all of those new iOS 11.x UI bugs are fixed. Oh, and I guess I'll get emojis too, whatever.

When you have an iphone and an ipad connected to same icloud account, under wifi, on the ipad, i had personal hotsports and the iphone there, it is now gone.

The names of my devices reverted to the default iPhone, iPad , i had to rename them back to my original names in general>about.

Can someone confirm the personal hotspot thing is broken? And i am talking about the automatic one, when you have wifi/bluetooth on and it just shows as available on ipad/mac.

Thanks.

I have had the same issue since 11.0 and have not been able to sort it out. It is frustrating. I am using a 6s, wifi mini 2, and LTE mini 2. Both LTE devices show up on all devices but nothing can connect to the 6s. They all connect and work with the LTE mini 2 with no problem. There are some discussions online about this but none of the suggestions have solved the problem. All my devices are on 11.1 now but it’s not a new problem. Worse yet is that when the 6s shows up as a hotspot it is removed from the available networks and you can’t even tether manually. Even crazier, sometimes it does show up in available networks and if you select it quickly it connects. If yo don’t connect quickly it jumps up to the hotspot list. So I am convinced there is not a hardware problem with my 6s. Good luck!

Does it fix the crashes on 11.0.X? My touch would stop working on my 7. Original everything. Even did a full restore as new...

It seems significantly more stable for me.

I have a 7plus which on 11.0 which would have multiple application crashes per day. Some would result in my volume controls no longer working properly, and some completely rebooted the phone.

So far so good on 11.1. It's only been 12 hrs so far, but no crashes yet and everything seems back to "normal" (ie. pre-11.0).

The new shark looks angry.

Love my SE, but not loving the Lightning connector. First time owning a phone with that type of connector. Not sure if it's my specific phone or the design of the Lightning port, but I can not get a stable connection for charging. It constantly connects and disconnects even with the slightest movement. Very very frustrating! Hours later of being plugged in, only to discover that phone did not charge! Happens with both authenticate Apple and Made-for-iPhone cables.

Never had this problem with the 30-pin connector, ever.

Is the Lightning port design flawed? My girlfriend's iPhone 6s has the same problem, but not as bad as mine, so that leads me to think that the port loses its internal shape after a while?

I find the lightning connector to be an improvement over the 32 pin connector. Do y'all charge using the same cable? Perhaps your cable is wearing out? This can happen over time with Apple's cables as well as with 3rd party cables.

Yikes...I think your exaggerating just a little bit there dude, even with the little bugs in 11.0 I still found my iPhone to be better than an android phone and it really doesn't feel like a completely different OS....

it’s growing on me but I still think the changes suck and the only reason they did them is because the X

People do realize that new emoji are a result of Apple updating to the latest Unicode standards for text, right? It's not like they're dreaming up emoji for fun instead of making other OS changes.

Reality isn't as exciting as what the imagination can come up with.

Depends... What is this music bug you speak of?
where music is playing but control centre and notifications screen dont say any music is playing, its incredibly annoying and seems like it can only be fixed by restarting phone

I can't access the Today View or the Recent Notifications screens while on the lock screen by pulling from the top on my iPhone. The Control Panel comes up from the bottom just fine. TV and RN show up from the top after I have made it to the home screen. I have toggled the appropriate Settings and rebooted the phone to no avail. It worked fine until I installed iOS 11.1. Using an iPhone 7/256.

Anyone else seeing this? Any suggestions?

More than a year and half after leaving Android I’m STILL giddy after reading a news post about an iOS update and being able to actually download it immediately...on the phone AND the tablet. When asked why iphone, this alone justifies the switch. IMO, googley toys will never be a match until google’s doing the hardware and software, which will probably never happen.

Also, iAccidentally a iWatch & a iMacBookPro, so I’m all in to the iFAnboy life. :D

Edit: iX due on Friday...

Thanks.

I can also confirm that my iPhones name dropped my name from it and so Just said I
Phone and hotspot from my phone to my iPad failed to connect, but it worked after changing the password.

There are also many bug fixes and security improvements in iOS 11.1. Most notably, the update addresses a major vulnerability in the WPA2 Wi-Fi standard that is used to protect many modern Wi-Fi networks. The exploit, which is now fixed, let attackers use a key reinstallation attack or "KRACK" to decrypt network traffic to sniff out sensitive information.
It's all good for Apple to patch the KRACK securtiy issue on iOS 11.1, however what about the Apple devices for which iOS 11 is not available?
I have an otherwise perfectly functional iPad mini that is stuck on an older iOS version: I'm ok with missing out on new features, but I'd expect a trustworthy manufacturer to patch such a major security issue... only one device left with the bug on my wifi network makes the whole thing vulnerable.
Very disappointed... it looks like at some point Apple decided my old iPad mini should go to the trash... it does not make me rush buying another one from Apple anytime soon.

Anyone else noticed that it only takes one continuous swipe when pulling the notif and control center when your in an app/full screen or not.

Love it!

Although it's a little better, battery life on my 6S is still a lot worse than on the last iOS 10 version that I was running. Will restore my last backup running iOS 10 soon, so that I will have a decent working phone again.

Working great, battery life seems on par with 10.3.3, UI glitches are gone. Happy to have a well functioning phone again.
