Yep apparently in the older devices iOS WPA2 implementation was not correctly done and as a side benefit are not vulnerable to KRACK.
But when it comes to the Apple Watch, the older models (series 1 and 2) received the patch while the newest series 3 didn't according to the release notes. That kind of shoots a hole in the theory. I wish Apple would just clarify which devices and iOS versions are affected and which aren't.

I'm done. I made the mistake of finally upgrading to IOS 11 today and the new iTunes and both are GARBAGE. Absolute utter GARBAGE. They trained us to use iOS one way for last the last 8 years and now it just feels BROKEN and for no reason. Not only that but it seems like the iPad version works slightly different than the iPhone version and now instead of simple swipes, I feel like I'm stuck in gesture heck. This is WORSE than Android now. The reason I LOVED Apple was it's reliability and most of all USABILITY both of which are gone. This is my breaking point. I'm hoping it's not to late to cancel my X preorder - I just put in a request to do it. But under Tim Cooke & Jony Ive Apple has really been terrible the last few years. I'm tired of giving them chance after chance. I need to figure out how to downgrade all my stuff.

I always update if for nothing more than the security updates. But, a lot of people wait a few hours or day to see if any update issues. My son updated as soon as he got it on his iphone. No issues.
I'm waiting for them to change the WiFi & Bluetooth toggles in Control Center, plus fix more bugs, before upgrading. My 7 Plus is working like a dream on 10.3.2, and I don't want to downgrade my experience. I'll wait till they iron out the wrinkles.

Yeah that is weird. Unless the 3 series chip was already patched before ever released. And I agree they should just say what the deal is since this is such a well known issue for the entire wi-fi industry. But then they have to break silence and we all know that is against the rules!

Happily on 10.3.3 on my 7+
[doublepost=1509497373][/doublepost]I didn't see anything in the list of fixes mentioning battery life. Are they denying this or just didn't fix it?

Yeah they prob not changing that back. Also the 7 has 3D touch yes? So you can do that easier via 3d touching the settings app than CC anyway.

For the first time in a long time rotation stopped working on my iPad Air 2. This happened shortly after upgrading to iOS 11.1.

iPhone 7+... 11.1.... much much better, Silky Smooth.. first 5 min it seemed a bit jittery still... but after 15 min of using the diference is night and day. Jitter free, faster loading apps, facebook, safari, etc... seems smoother. Everything is much smoother and I dare say better than the last version of iOS 10, especially for 3D Touch App Switcher with is much easier and smoother to use than before.

2 THUMBS UP ! Happy camper :)

Give it a few hours. It will be back to being slow again.

i haven't seen this mentioned but who else is having a problem with the letter "i" ? if its capital then it doesn't show up as the letter but a funny combination but if its clicked in the suggested words it will insert an i. Its very weird but ive had about 4 people mention the same error but i haven't seen it talked about online anywhere and how to fix it.

I’m having the same issue, and so is my husband.

Turning off “auto-correction” under the keyboard settings seems to be a temporary work around.

Does it fix the crashes on 11.0.X? My touch would stop working on my 7. Original everything. Even did a full restore as new...

Soon we won't need English language or any language at all
Like Hieroglyphics! Egyptians were way ahead of us.

Hmm interesting in the WIFI Krack info. See the "Available for" section. All say 5s and later EXCEPT the wi-fi Krack says iP7 and later and only a few iPads. Hoping this is a typo.

Any love for Airport Routers? Are they affected by Krack attacks too?

iPhone 7 with iOS 11.1 and it’s a night and day difference.

So true. This would have been a more acceptable 11.0 release. It has only been a month or so but I'd already forgotten what it was like to just use a phone without lags, overheating, crashes, etc. Seems as if most users reported at least some problem with iOS 11.0, so hope everyone got what the needed fixed by now. Already updated 4 times in a month though and still problems (calculator etc.), proves .0 was a complete mess. Hopefully they learn the lessons.

I notice my 6s and mini 2 running a little more smoothly. Just enough to notice. The keyboard on the mini 2 now keeps up with my typing. About the new emojis. I guess some people like them and use them. I use very few but use them I do. The thing that makes it just a little weird is how Apple positions new emojis out front like it is the leading feature in updates. I don’t know why they do that. Maybe marketing research bears out that the majority of users like new emojis more than a keyboard that keeps up with typing. If that’s the case so be it.

The reality of many .0 releases (well beyond iOS and Apple).

Could you record the screen and post so we understand better about what the Big is about?

How does 11.1 compare to 10.3.3 when it comes to performance and battery life (particularly on the iPhone 7)?
