Does this update have any new emoji? I heard they make your battery last longer, and are good for security. ;)

Apple needs to focus less on emoji and more on things that matter, like bringing back the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Not going to happen. AirPods are great and they are pushing wireless. Apple doesn’t bring back legacy ports.

The KRACK issue is a flaw with the WPA2 protocol itself. All hardware is affected. I too believe Apple made a typo on the security note as every other item on there states iPhone 5s and later.
I also think they made a typo, hence the ":D" in my reply to jon35430.. I'm refreshing that release notes page to see if they'll update that info.

I'm curious if Apple will do something about A6 devices stuck to iOS 10.3.3. I remember they fixed that "gotofail" thing, releasing an update to iPod Touch 4th gen, which was stuck to iOS 6.

Downloading now, I dearly hope this improves the terrible performance hit my iPhone 6 took when I installed iOS 11, I so wish I hadn't but fingers crossed this will help the freezing, the terminally slow app opening, the random data roaming feature switching itself on and off as I look at it, the list goes on.
Keep us posted. Works pretty well on 6s but wife has the 6 and I am debating putting it on hers. Would like the security updates but with the question whether the WPA2 flaw KRACK was patched on devices previous to the iP7 still looming I am still hesitant to update her right now.

iPhone 7 Plus has build number 15B93 and iPad Pro 15B101, I don't remember different build numbers for iPad and iPhone before.

I would hope they would but you never know. That could be used as a driving factor to get folks to purchase new devices. Esp since the iP8 sales apparently have been flat.

Working great on 7+ and 8+. IPad Air 2 still has some UI lag but much better than before.

As the KRACK discoverer wrote, "any correct implementation of WPA2 is likely affected." It appears the only hope for an unpatched client is a bug in the implementation.

I think battery and the slowness on older phones will be there forever! This happens every time Apple launched new iOS, you can only get red of it by buying new Apple phone. I am never going to update anything next time until I have to.

Explain this then, on the watchOS side...

Wi-Fi

Available for: Apple Watch Series 1 and Apple Watch Series 2

No Series 3 update? Maybe some devices didn't need it?

Interesting... From the release notes:

Description: A logic issue existed in the handling of state transitions.

So, that "handling of state transitions" could occur in different ways in different devices.

Anyone with good knowledge on this matter could enlighten us here.

My IPad Pro 9.7 has been on Beta and is showing build 15B93, has not updated today.

I have no choice, but to update because I want to see if the overall sluggishness on the 6S Plus is still present. If the dingbats at Apple had not removed the 3.5mm headphone jack, I would have upgraded to the iPhone X.

The lock screen lag is completely gone. I can now unlock my 7 Plus without having to press the home button multiple times.

Edit:

After a few hours, the lag is back. It now sometimes take multiple presses of the home button to unlock the phone.

The update in settings clearly show their priorities. 70 Emojis added! And btw we fixed some stuff too...

The headphone jack is history. Apple removed it with the iPhone 7, Google removed it with the Pixel 2. It will soon be removed by most smartphones manufacturers. If I have to guess I think Samsung will remove it too on the next version of their top smartphones like the Galaxy S Series and the Note series.
