i thought i saw that an upcoming update would only go as far as 7.5W.
From what I understood the Belking Boost Up charger has a 7.5W transmitter coil for faster wireless charging. It is 50% faster than standard 5W wireless chargers. I have no idea how fast is wireless charging for the iPhone 8/ iPhone 8 Plus or the iPhone X.

Absolutely love it! Granted you have to not mind the 4" forum factor, but that's what I love about the device. Since I sold my 7, it's my only phone until the X comes. Plus, the device flies on iOS 10 (still have yet to pull the trigger on iOS 11).

Did they fix the bug where I can't access my iTunes synced playlists in the Podcast app?

Apple today released iOS 11.1, the first major update to the iOS 11 operating system available on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. iOS 11.1 comes more than a month after iOS 11 was first released to the public and its launch comes after several rounds of beta testing.

The update is available on all eligible devices over-the-air in the Settings app. To access the update, go to Settings --> General --> Software Update. Eligible devices include the iPhone 5s and later, the iPad mini 2 and later, the iPad Air and later, and the 6th-generation iPod touch.

A range of new Unicode 10 emoji like crazy face, pie, pretzel, t-rex, vampire, exploding head, face vomiting, shushing face, love you gesture, brain, scarf, zebra, giraffe, fortune cookie, pie, hedgehog, and more have been introduced in the iOS 11 update, expanding the number of emoji available to iOS users.

Several emoji also feature some small design changes in iOS 11.1, including the dolphin, bee, snail, and whale characters, among others. The new designs are more detailed and realistic than existing designs.

Along with these major features, iOS 11 introduces a fix for a Reachability bug that's been present since the release of iOS 11 and it brings back the popular 3D Touch App Switcher gesture that lets iPhone users perform a 3D Touch gesture at the left edge of the display to bring up the multitasking App Switcher interface.

The built-in keyboard in iOS 11.1 now offers up multiple emoji symbols when using an emoji-related word, there's a new camera icon under Restrictions, a new animation when tapping the status bar to scroll upwards, and a faster unlock animation.

There are also many bug fixes and security improvements in iOS 11.1. Most notably, the update addresses a major vulnerability in the WPA2 Wi-Fi standard that is used to protect many modern Wi-Fi networks. The exploit, which is now fixed, let attackers use a key reinstallation attack or "KRACK" to decrypt network traffic to sniff out sensitive information. Full release notes for the update, including all of the bug fixes, are available below:For more on what's included in iOS 11.1 and the iOS 11 operating system in general, make sure to check out our iOS 11 roundup.

[doublepost=1509481160][/doublepost]woo hoo, my prayers have been answered. I have hundreds of emojis that I NEVER use but ... my battery still runs down, my lock screen comes up in who knows what position ( usually either landscape or upside down) and my wi fi is slower than the pony express. I paid hundreds of dollars for this phone Apple. You on the other hand are making MILLIONS...give me something that I can actually use. Emojis? Seriously?

Well, ArsTechnica readers also noted the catch in the WPA2 fix part of the security notes. The story author (Samuel Axon) has reached Apple for comments. Let's see if he gets any response from them.

Update: As Ars readers have pointed out, Apple's support documentation states that the iOS KRACK fix is available for iPhone 7 and later, and for the early 2016, 9.7-inch iPad Pro and later. That could leave many iOS devices still exposed.

Love my SE, but not loving the Lightning connector. First time owning a phone with that type of connector. Not sure if it's my specific phone or the design of the Lightning port, but I can not get a stable connection for charging. It constantly connects and disconnects even with the slightest movement. Very very frustrating! Hours later of being plugged in, only to discover that phone did not charge! Happens with both authenticate Apple and Made-for-iPhone cables.

Never had this problem with the 30-pin connector, ever.

Is the Lightning port design flawed? My girlfriend's iPhone 6s has the same problem, but not as bad as mine, so that leads me to think that the port loses its internal shape after a while?

As the KRACK discoverer wrote, "any correct implementation of WPA2 is likely affected." It appears the only hope for an unpatched client is a bug in the implementation.
Interesting you may be onto something. I suspect you were kidding but.......... See last comment here. Perhaps only iP7 and up are not "faulty" as far as the spec goes thus requires the patch.
Comments, continued...

iOS is not actually vulnerable to the major aspect of KRACK - rebroadcast of key since iOS's WPA2 implementation is faulty compared to the vulnerable official implementation.

There is a common problem and easy fix for it. Take a toothpick or something non metallic (the softpicks work well) and clean out the port. They tend to build up lint and dust in there and it packs in toward the back. The lint buildup causes the issue you are speaking of but you will most likely get a pretty nice wad out if you dig in toward the back. Carefully of course. Seems that packed in wad keeps the plug from going in all the way.

Based on that (I could not visit the reddit link, it's blocked by my office network politics), isn't it possible that the vulnerability itself was only present in the WPA2 implementation in iOS specific versions for the mentioned models, and not for the rest of them? Thus the specific mention of those models?

So, in iOS 11.1, the "correct" (and patched) implementation is distributed to all releases?

I hope what I wrote makes sense..
