So, Since iOS 11.2 and 11.2.1 my GPS hasn't worked on my phone 6. I just spent nearly 4 hours on the phone with Apple support and moved up the chain of command three times. They are acknowledging this as "An Emerging Issue" meaning they are getting more and more reports of this problem. They are escalating it to the engineering and I am told they will get back to me hopefully by tomorrow.

And you’ll soon realize they are garbage.

Depends what your expectations are for a $30 speaker. For voice commands to play spotify, turn lights on and off, and remind yourself, I'd say the value proposition is pretty strong. If you're looking for Sonos or Homepod quality sound, then you're right.

Yep, you have given your life to Google. Enjoy all that extra advertising that is coming your way.
How else does Google get all its money? Data on you, me and everyone. IMHO Google Home is a great way of sucking your life out of your home and into the Google machine.
I never ever have any of these devices in my home so I don't have an pro Apple axe to grind. Echo is just as bad IMHO.

Essentially anyone that uses Google as their default search engine or gmail does the same thing. I could make the assumption that since you're an internet user on a forum, you use one of these. Maybe it is a generational thing, but the ability to save 1 minute each time I play from a playlist or a specific song to my CC audio is valuable to me. Additionally, it replaces my need to put my phone on my nightstand. Sleeping much better.

If it’s $30, it’s a garbage device. To me, waste of $30.

I managed to get a Home invite out to my wife via the Hue app which also wouldn't work before.

All working now.

Did you do anything specifically other than update to 11.2.1? I have all the phones and iPads in the house updated and I still can’t send out invites. Just keeps saying the invitee is not a registered Apple ID (which they are of course). I hard restarted the phones and logged in and out of each Apple ID/iCloud, still with no change as of 12/18. Is there anything else I can do, or just wait for an Apple fix?

** Update - I was able to send out and accept invitations on some devices this evening. This seemed to have resolved spontaneously as I have done or changed anything since my earlier attempts.

Yep can confirm using the Hue app has fixed the problem! The invitation works immediately and it’s all setup without any issues with full control via Home app and Siri on the invited device.

You can find the option in Hue app > Settings > HomeKit & Siri > Advanced > Homes > Primary Home > Share Home

This guy confirmed my way of getting the invite out via the Hue app, quoted for his instructions.

Doesn't help if you aren't a Hue user though I guess.

Is anyone having trouble with invited guests being unable to trigger lights/scenes remotely (off WiFi)?
