Really hope this fixes some issues I've been having with HomeKit scenes starting yesterday. I have an "Arriving Home" scene that no longer works (just says, "Welcome home" or something useless like that when I use Siri to activate it from my iPhone X). And on my Watch S3, it just says "The scene isn't set up."
Seriously, Apple?
Apple is wearing my battery out. However, would rather have the bug fixes than not have the bug fixes.Feels like I‘ve been updating my phone more than actually using it.
meaning it shows how crappy ios 11 has been over ios 10LOL I just checked, iOS 10.3 was the last version of 10. We’re already on 11.2 and we still have 6 months till iOS 12.
It should fix that, as that is what Apple have specifically stated was disabled due to the vulnerability.
Haven't had a chance to test 11.2.1, but where do you see Apple specifically stating they disabled Siri scenes for the main account user (and sub-accounts).
I just updated to iOS 11.2.1 on my iPhone X; and still getting this error when I try to add my wife to our HomeKit "Home"
"Invitation Failed --- Could not invite "icloud_username@icloud.com" because the Apple ID is not registered with iCloud"
Any ideas? My wife is also on iOS 11.2.1
Thanks,
Will
Considering that iOS 10 was on 10.2 already at this time last year, doesn't really seem like there's that much of a difference to show all of that just based on that.meaning it shows how crappy ios 11 has been over ios 10
Sorry, I misread what you typed. By it being a "welcome home" scene, I assumed it was activated by location, rather than Siri.
Supposedly that's enabled in the iOS 11.2.5 beta that was released to developers today. So are we seriously going to have to wait for the delayed homePod before we get AirPlay 2?![]()
Can confirm this. Whether there will be a non-beta version with it before the AirPod I don't know.Supposedly that's enabled in the iOS 11.2.5 beta that was released to developers today.
Managed to send invites to Homekit via Elgato Eve. The built-in Home app still refuses to send invitations.

Patch Thursday? Seems like their releases often span Monday through Thursday, not just really Thursday in particular.Sweet! Apple's Patch Thursday came a day early.
