Reachability seems to be working now on the new beta with the iPhone X. I couldn't get it to work on 11.1, now it seems fairly straight forwards and easy to use.

Does anyone know how to remove the developer profile? My X is prompting me to update to iOS 11.2 developer beta 2, but the “Profiles” setting isn’t showing up in my General settings.

too late for everyone except Americans. I had to go through the pain of downgrading my previous OS. Thanks Apple for making Launch day a pain in the ass

When attempting to install 11.2, I am receiving a message that states that I must wait for the iCloud restore to finish before I can install the update. It appears that the restore was finished last night. I already rebooted, but no luck. Help...

11.2 definitely seems to have tightened up animations on X. In particular, the “hoop swoosh” and padlock animations during Face ID processes don’t take less time, necessarily, but there are little perceptual differences which affect how much my brain interprets it as “something that just happens” as opposed to “a process my phone is undergoing.”

It seems that Apple hasn't figured out how to do animations without losing taps on buttons. Sure, turning off the animations fixes the problem, but it's astonishing and sad that Apple apparently can't get this to work (quickly) without turning off animations.

I updated to 11.1 after getting the iphone X (not any beta) and can't get the "live" wallpapers to work. They show up as available though. Is there any trick to getting them to animate? For now they just look static. Under all the app icons and even on the lock screen.

Press and hold on your lock screen and it will animate. That’s about all they are good for. If you want something moving all of the time, you will have to use the dynamic wallpapers.

I want him to hurry up and get the send money kind of thing going in the messages that would become a friend I just want to try it out

Install new profile, and remove it again. For me worked

CaAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!! So I have an iPhone 6s Plus and I was on 11.2 beta 1, I backed up the Beta on my iTunes. Once I received my iPhone X, I updated the X to iOS 11.2 beta 2 when it came out, then I try to restore my iOS 11.2 beta 1 back up into my iPhone X iOS 11.2 beta 2 and for some reason I keep getting a prompt saying that the iPhone X cannot he restore because the file was corrupted?... can someone please help?!. I tried like 3 times and I’m still getting the same error message. I even wiped out the iPhone X and restore it back to factory, downgraded to iOS 11.1 then upgraded back to iOS 11.2 beta 2 and tried the whole process over and nothing works. Is it because I am still signed into my Apple ID on my iPhone 6s Plus?. I have no clue why I cannot restore my iOS 11.2 beta 1 back up on my iPhone X...

Apple this afternoon released a new beta of iOS 11.2 for iPhone X devices, allowing the latest flagship smartphone to be updated to the latest developer beta.

Registered developers can download the iOS 11.2 beta from Apple's Developer Center or over-the-air once the proper configuration profile has been installed from the Developer Center.

Apple first released iOS 11.2 to developers and public beta testers earlier this week, but did not provide an iPhone X version. That left customers who had installed the iOS 11.2 beta on their previous devices unable to restore from an existing backup on the new iPhone X.

With the iPhone X beta now available, an iOS 11.2 backup can be installed on the device after upgrading to the new version of the software.

iOS 11.2 addresses an animation bug in the Calculator app that caused some numbers and symbols to be ignored when entered in rapid succession. The update removes the animations from the calculator app so calculations can be done quickly with no need to pause between entering numbers to obtain the correct result.

In addition to the Calculator bug, iOS 11.2 introduces a new Now Playing option for controlling content on the Apple TV in Control Center, redesigned camera emoji, and a new loading animation for Live Photos effects.

Ik
Correct. The beta 2 update will not show up on your 7+. Setup your new X as new. Install the beta profile. Update to 11.2 Beta, then you can either Erase All Content and Setting and restore from your iCloud backup, or just restore from your iTunes backup. Either will work.
[doublepost=1509936334][/doublepost]CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP?!!

I had iOS 11.2 beta 1 on my iPhone 6s Plus and I made a backup of it on my iTunes. Once I received my iPhone X and iOS 11.2 beta 2 came out, I updated my iPhone X. However, I try to restore my backup iOS 11.2 beta 1 onto my iPhone X with the new iOS 11.2 beta 2 and for some reason, it loads the backup as if it’s working, it takes about an hr of loading as if the restore is going to work and after waiting an hr, I then get an error saying cannot restore on iPhone because the file is corrupted?! Can someone please help. I had all of my pictures on that back up and cannot get it to work. I even factory reset my iPhone X, erase and delete content, downgraded to iOS 11.1 then I upgraded back to iOS 11.2 beta 2 and tried it again. I probably tried 3x already and I still cannot get it to work!. And what sucks the most is that every time I try, I have to wait about an hr because it’s trying to restore it then once is finish it gives me the error message saying file corrupted.. SMMFH!

I’m having a similar problem. I’m on the public betas. My iPhone 7 Plus backup is from iOS 11.1 beta 1. I’m trying to restore to an iPhone X, iOS 11.2 beta 2. I get the same corrupt error. I assume that it’s a compatability issue between betas. iOS 11.2 beta 2 for public beta should be available tomorrow, and I’ll try backing up again using 11.2 beta 2 and update my findings here.

Got my phone today, after a massive struggle with Fedex since Friday, when the dude managed to ninja a doortag at during to, like, THREE minutes that I went into the house to pee, after staying outside in front all frickin' day!

Did this beta 2, the restore from iCloud took FOREVER.
Then my phone automatically started the install.

My first time around, I had to erase and start all over, so you may have to do that.

I wanted to migrate from the previous phone, a 6s,(which, of course, failed), but not dead sure how to do that now, and I don't want to lose the Beta profile because I want to keep getting beta updates.
My iCloud back up was only a month ago,(then I went on vacay so, no backups during that), so, it's not TOO bad.
Just a few do-overs as far as folders and what not.

Some of the aps are KILLER.
The AR heart one is amazing, and Lowes measuring dealie is handy, and a toot to use.
The storeage size is 256.(the 6s is a 16G that I won in a photo competition), so I am jazzed about not having to offload photos constantly.

So far, this thing ROCKS, the camera is AWESOME!!!!

Having a problem updating my iPhone X to iOS 11.2 beta 2. It keeps saying that I can't verify because I'm not connected to the internet and I'm clearly connected to the internet. Anyone else running into that issue and what/if you were able to fix it?

I’m still having trouble restoring to my iPhone X. The message says that the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone that is being restored. iOS 11.2 beta 2 iPhone 7 Plus to iOS 11.2 beta 2 iPhone X.
