It is my observation from when people on this site complain about the bugs in iOS 11, the well reported endless bugs, you get the typical response of you must be stupid and making it all up because ‘mine’ is fine.

It is like an arrogant person telling you their is nothing wrong with your car, even if it’s wheels had fallen off! Because their car was perfectly fine...
While that does happen at times, it doesn't seem to be something that really happens all the time or even a lot. At best it's a generalization.

Next morning and the lag had really reduced.
At the present it seems limited to apps and some settings initial opening under 11.4.1

One thing I am happy about, the occasional screen freeze has not made an appearance .... crossing fingers

Well, we shall see. My wife's 6 never woke up this morning. Had to power reset with the Home and Power button. Then this morning at work I had to do the same with my 8P which seemed fine after the update yesterday. Hope these were "isolated incidents";)

I updated my 6s last night all went well and no issues. I have a new battery Apple installed for the 29.00 so my battery is fine. I’m at 75% with 1 hr 40 mins usage and 6 hrs standby so far today.

Wow! Same issue with my wife’s iPhone 6. Does it have 11.4 or 11.4.1 installed? Hers has 11.4.
The phone was very warm this morning, refused to wake up until I did what you did. Additionally, the battery was at 23% and plugged in all night

Hopefully this fixes some of the issues that certain users were having with battery life on 11.4.

I think it might have fixed my battery issue. It would drop down by 5-8% overnight without any activity. After the update it has remained at full charge, but I've only had the update for one day.

I've not seen that message again. I will try to replicate it another morning. I'll not actually unlock my phone and see what it does.
I had it happen again this morning. I intentionally didn't unlock my phone until I got into the car. CarPlay didn't connect and the prompt on the lock screen said to unlock phone before using accessories. I've rebooted my phone a couple times since updating. I would think Apple could build in an exception for CarPlay... But perhaps not?

I've had a couple of bugs that appeared after updating to 11.4.1. Most notably, I am no longer getting push notifications to my iCloud mail account via the native Mail app (am still getting them through Airmail, though). I signed out and into my iCloud account again as per the Apple Support instructions, but I think that did more harm than good to my settings. Now, I'm constantly being asked for my password to view my App Store account on my iPhone, and it won't work. My iPad account works fine, though.

EDIT: The email issue still persists, but I figured out the login issue - I had to log out and into my account another way. I swear, I feel like there are too many different ways we are forced to log into our iCloud accounts, some less obvious than others.

Ran into an issue that looks to be new; when opening an attachment or document vial email link in stock email, the ability to print that attachment is missing. If I save it to cloud or holding app, then I can print. Noticed as I tried to reprint an Amazon return label. I couldn't.

I'm having issues with with push on native Mail app using iCloud email address also with 11.4.1. It's been inconsistent. I sometimes don't get notifications and will only see updates when I go into the Mail app. Today I saw an email that came in 30 minutes earlier but got no notification and the app icon number was not updated either beforehand.

I'm seeing no settings for push/pull with iCloud mail accounts as with non-iCloud accounts so shouldn't be a setting issue.

push email is broken AGAIN as a result of "upgrading" to 11.4.1! These engineers suck and should be fired. Every time they tweak the email sync servers, the break my push email......(native mail app with me.com/icloud.com). Truly pathetic quality.

I should say the Apple Push Notification Servers....(APNS). Unbelievable they still can't figure this out from MobileMe days....before 2011!!!

I only recently changed everything from Gmail to iCloud mail. I'm thinking I may have made the wrong move...

KEEP your gmail. I kept mine as a backup (I hate gmail) but it just works....see what I did there;)

Paid full pop for the iPhone X but its crippled if the iOS fails. Like having a Ferrari with no engine and transmission...it just sits there looking pretty( at a pretty price too)!

I was hoping this update would give us back the ability to delete texting groups, nope. Say I want to text an old friend named Jan. When I type her name to text her, I first have to go through six pages of every group text her name has ever since the dawn of time been a part of, then the very last line is her contact alone. Sucks. Why won’t they fix this after all these years?

Don't think it's been like this for years. It's also not really like this for many even now, while some are experiencing what you've described.

I'm hoping that 11.4.2 is coming sooner rather than later. Otherwise, I might break with my "avoid iOS betas" rule and try the iOS 12 beta on my daily driver (iPhone X).

What is it that you'd be looking for from iOS 11.4.2?

Very interesting, not that I use this feature a lot but it was handy when I needed a quick print on a few occasions.

It got better (partial Monty Python paraphrase)

6s with a battery replaced less than 2 months ago under the replacement plan.

Upgraded to 11.4 and suddenly my battery was rapidly draining with very light use.

Upgraded to 11.4.1 but I still don't get more than half a day, even with very light use.

Hopefully 12 will fix this problem. Otherwise I'll need a new phone -- Apple or otherwise.
