This one definitely is using a lot more of the battery. Also, when you turn off Bluetooth from the control center it keeps it on but says not connected.

I had to go to the actual menu to turn it off, one other observation auto brightness is turned on after update. I had to manually turn it off.

Not sure what is wating battery quicker.

Completely erased an iPad mini 3, set it up as a new iPad, and then updated from 10 to iOS11.

Not bad. Everything seems to startup quickly. There may be a few lags here and there, mostly while a list of stuff scrolls by, but that's to be expected.

Started Photos and it seems to be having trouble grasping that there are no photos and that I don't use iCloud for any photo stuff. Photos and Memories just keep "updating" or "scanning", but there isn't anything to update or scan.

Geeze. Are previously purchased apps STILL in order purchased?? I think after this many years I've kinda forgotten which order I purchased stuff in. Dumb.

does anyone else notice this weird glitch when zooming say half way in on a photo that was in your camera roll and it gets slightly blurry? and if you zoom further that blur goes away and the image comes into sharper focus? it seems to only be on non live photos and the most recent ones i took on my 7.. i don't know how i noticed it but it's annoying

Been an iPhone user for many years switched over to the dark side today with the Samsung Galaxy S8

Its in another league. With each new iOS release there is more bloat that makes older iPhones struggle hence planned obsolescence in my case the iPhone 5s.

Looking forward to see what Android has to offer in the shape of the S8.

So, on the plus side......the minute hand is working in the clock!!!! I always found it funny how Apple was so meticulous that the app icon for the clock had a working minute hand. Then it went away , and I thought, uh oh, its all down hill from here. Not that anyone noticed it ever, just saying. Well, things are looking up!!!!

Is it worth trying to download yet? I usually wait until about 4+ hours before I try because it either fails or is painfully slow since I assume too many people are trying to download at once. What are other people's experiences?

Downloaded and installed over 2 hours ago and all went through extremely quickly, one of the easiest updates I’ve done

I've seen mentioned on some of the betas that the AppStore wish list feature is no longer there. Is that still the case? If so, that's a disappointment. Good way to keep up with potential new games to buy down the road.

~5 minutes to download (1:15p EST), about 10 to install, about another 10 for things to settle down on my 6S+.

Runs great, like some of the new concepts, haven't any had any snags yet - reading a couple of overviews/reviews (including the excellent on by Federico Viticci) just to get a handle on all the little changes.

The App Store seems like it runs _way_ faster, like there's no latency between GET >> AUTH (with TouchID) and the download beginning. Grabbed a couple of AR Kit apps, neat stuff, I can't wait to wade into it myself.

So any networking app that scans networks, etc., will not be able to detect or keep track of devices by MAC address.

Just to be clear, the device itself is still broadcasting its MAC address, and "external" apps can see it just fine - it's specifically Apps running ON the device can't read that device's MAC address.

Sure, however you need to comfort yourself mate.

If you have AT&T and see CALL VOICEMAIL on the voicemail screen, enter in your voicemail PIN (not password) and it will then load in all your voicemails.

Haven't had any issues with updates. I mean you're talking about the iPhone 5S, a phone that was released in 2013 which is still getting support for iOS 11. Android and iOS each have their pros and cons, but based on Samsung's history you most likely won't be seeing Oreo until around 6 months after Oreo's release. I honestly don't think Samsung will release an update for Google's next version of Android P.

iPad Air.

not much difference in performance / battery life from the 10.3. there's some additional slowdowns. task switcher is definitely not running at smooth 30fps. same with a few different window animations.

but overall it still performs well enough.

I got the GM last week on my 128gb 6S and its been laggy as f*** -- I have about 35gb free. Anyone else have this problem yet? Not so much any third party app as it is just the OS in general. I hate having to clean install these things but may have to if other users aren't reporting enough lag in the next few weeks for Apple to notice.

I have a 6s 16 GB (with about 4 GB free) and installed using Itunes. It has been buttery smooth for me. Usually for major IOS updates I perform an ituens restore but this time decided just to install with itunes without the restore. No issues for the last 2 hours or so. I would try the itunes restore option for your case since you are experiecing so much lagginess.

TV App in Canada is looping commercials... wont stop watched 11 commercials in a row on City TV app...

Placebo. The iPhone 6 does not support encoding HEIF.

You're right! One of the beta versions must have messed with my photo taking. Because at some point, my images sizes were only about 400kb a piece. I just thought it was the new compression... Oh well, one more reason I need a new phone!

I have never used the wish list before so I don't know how you would access it, but you can "share" the app to the Reminders app and keep a list there.

Enough with the crazy location notification arrow! I don't care! Now that I've installed iOS 11, the arrow is on and now I have to figure out which setting turned it on?!? Give me a break Apple!
