I got the GM last week on my 128gb 6S and its been laggy as f*** -- I have about 35gb free. Anyone else have this problem yet? Not so much any third party app as it is just the OS in general. I hate having to clean install these things but may have to if other users aren't reporting enough lag in the next few weeks for Apple to notice.

I was having similar issues. I did a clean install through iTunes and a restore from an iCloud backup immediately afterwards. Everything has worked perfectly ever since.

I updated an iPhone 6s Plus and immediately noticed heat on the back of the phone. It just stays there. Battery draining more rapidly. Just restarted the phone again and will keep an eye out for the heat/battery drain issue. Anyone else having this problem?

Shoot, I think my update failed. When I tried entering my passcode after it had finished, it froze for a couple minutes, restarted, and is now "Attempting data recovery." :(:(:( And my phone is really hot too. Oh noooo.

It's indexing the new Apple File System

I have the same issue. even in the photo.app there is no option to share via message... So weird...

yeah, notice it just now, why would Apple remove this feature? I'm bummed about that, as I normally send pictures using iMessage.

oopps, my bad, iMessage was "off" on my iPad air 2.

Anyone else notice that when you hit the home button to wake the phone the background is black for a second then goes to my normal wallpaper?

Yeah I did. It looks bad, I prefer the actual brightness of the screen to be changed and not altering the brightness of the background picture.

That would be perfect. Wonder what was behind the decision to take it away. If it was something you could switch on or off, or if it needed to make way for another function I’d understand, but to just get rid of it didn’t make a lot of sense to me!
My guess is that they never explicitly wanted to remove it, but they had to re-write a lot of the multi-tasking UI for the iPad and iPhone X, and they didn't have time to get the 3D Touch gesture working again for the iOS 11 release. Hopefully Rene's source on this is good.

The only thing I kind of depsise is the large font in the headers of all native apps now.
MAILBOXES
MESSAGES
SETTINGS

And so on.

I could tolerate it when it was just in the Music app, but now that's it everywhere, seems really kind of cheesy looking and a waste of screen real estate, especially on the phone.

So much this. Many people will deride this criticism and call it nitpicking, but it's flippin' annoying. That real estate is precious, and there is ZERO reason to fill it in with a header that looks like it came out of a third grade book report.

Sometimes Apple these days just seems to like change for the sake of change. I'd like to take whoever had this bold font header monstrosity of an idea behind the shed.
