[doublepost=1505948809][/doublepost]So far IOS 11 is a mess. First thing it staring sucking power out of my battery as fast as it could. Apple needs to fix this. They I have 17 voice mails. Instead of being able to see them and read the translation of them or call back I have to call to get them. This is horrible. These are the first things I attempted after downloading IOS 11. I would not recommend anyone installing this upgrade until IOS 11 id fixed. looks like an alpha release with multiple bugs.
Apple today officially released iOS 11, the newest operating system designed for the iPad, iPhone, and iPad touch. iOS 11 is available on the iPhone 5s and later, the iPad mini 2 and later, the iPad Air and later, and the 6th-generation iPod touch.
The update is available on all eligible devices over-the-air in the Settings app. To access the update, go to Settings --> General --> Software Update. It could potentially take a few minutes for the update to propagate to all users due to high demand.
iOS 11 is a major update that brings a refreshed look and feel to both the iPhone and the iPad. It introduces subtle design changes to interface elements throughout the OS, like bolder text, a new look for apps, revamped icons, and a redesigned usage experience for the Lock screen and the Control Center.

iOS 11 feels a lot different on an iPad. There's now a persistent Dock at the bottom of the display that you can bring up anytime with a swipe, and there's a new App Switcher that's similar to Mission Control on the Mac, letting you see all of your apps -- even those in split-view windows -- at a glance. Apple Pencil does more on iPad Pro, and a new Drag and Drop feature lets you drag links, images, files, and more from one app to another.

A new Files app introduces improved file management, and many apps have new features. Notes offers searchable handwriting and document scanning, Maps has lane guidance and speed limit info, Apple Music lets you see what your friends are listening to, and there are a new tools for editing Live Photos.

HomeKit now supports speakers and AirPlay 2 adds multi-room functionality, while Do Not Disturb has been expanded to encompass driving. In a future update, Apple plans to add iCloud Messages and a person-to-person Apple Pay feature.
On the iPad, there's a handy new "Flick" keyboard, while the iPhone has new one-handed keyboard options. You'll see a completely different App Store after installing iOS 11, and a whole host of apps with new capabilities thanks to ARKit and other under-the-hood improvements.

Note: When iOS 11 is installed, all older 32-bit apps will no longer launch. These are apps that have not been updated for several years, and Apple has discontinued support. Only 64-bit apps are compatible with the new update.

You nailed it. This is pretty bad, way too noticeable. It seems like 50% reduction by default, see this comparison at max brightness on both:

It seems Apple took the easy way out, and ‘solved’ battery issues in iOS11 by capping brightness.

This amazes me. My 6S has NO difference in brightness, in fact i have to keep it at ~50% or it's too bright. Those pictures look like they were taken when the phone was in night mode with the brightness turned down even more than usual. It seems like 50% reduction by default, see this comparison at max brightness on both:

You have problems that go way beyond iOS 11. You might go to the Apple store and have them take a look.Drains my battery on my iPhone 6s. It has completely made my iPad unusable. It shuts down at random - I get the Apple screen and have to use my passcode. Major headache.
Phoenix, Arizona USA. I want her to tell me. If its going to be displayed on screen, I'd just use the weather app. If I'm not mistaken that stupid Rock feature with Siri, she tells him the weather. Mine has never done that on any iPhone I've had.I don't believe you. I ask Siri what the weather is all the time, and get the correct answer. Where are you located?

If you toggle the wifi switch off via control center than your wifi connection will be lost but your phone's wifi antenna still be active. that's the problem.
Anyone installed iOS 11 on an iPhone 6 - how is it going?
I swear that my iPhone 6 is getting slower just recently.
EDIT, actually its just some of the time its going slower, what makes an iPhone go slower occasionally? Camera app/ keyboards
The GM was leaked for a few hours last week, then it came out after the event. The release on the 19th is the same as both of those.
APFS came out with iOS 10.3. So not new to iOS 11.
For item 3 all you have to do is click anywhere off a tab for the home screen. Button not required.
[doublepost=1505882936][/doublepost]Seems I remember in the past that Siri voices wouldn’t update to the hi quality until the device is locked, plugged in, and on Wi-Fi. Maybe similar issue here? I have the new voice btw on both iPhone and iPad but been on betas since the beginning.
Silly question but how come the Settings.app appears twice..once on the home screen itself and again on the dock just wondering just seems kind of strange..everything seems fine the only thing I notice is that when I want to make folders for my apps(By pressing on the app and dragging them into a new folder) it takes a sec for it to happen..I have the iPad Pro 10.5 inch otherwise everything is fine

If your settings app is on the dock AND the homepage, it’s probably because you’re using an iPad and the settings app is on the right side of the dock, an area showing most recently used apps.
From within any app, you can short swipe up from the bottom to show just the dock (on top of the current app) and get quickly back to any recently used apps. Nice feature IMO.
Yeah I have the iPad Pro 10.5 inch so on the homepage itself I see the settings app and also on the dock I see the settings app I just thought it was strange..as long as its normal than I know its OK..how do I go about adding additional apps to the dock..the only lag I see is when I hold down the app to move it to its own folder it sometimes takes an extra second than moves fine

The reason for the extra second or so when pressing and holding an icon on the home page is also a feature
When u press and hold an icon on the home page, there are now two stages
First the icon gets slightly bigger, at which point you can drag the icon to the dock, anywhere on the home screen, or any page of the home screen. This happens without going into full “wiggle mode”, so u don’t need another home button click to get out of wiggle mode
Second pressing and holding a bit longer takes u to full wiggle mode, where you can drag and rearrange multiple icons (one after another) without press holding each one. You can also drag items from the home screen onto the dock or vice verse
If the dock had already reached its max number of icons when u attempt to drag one in, it will give a little bounce as an indicator.
Thank U so much now that makes total sense at least I know its not the iPad itself(Been crazy obsessed since I had to exchange the other one due to a really bad eye strain) if I drag an icon to the dock will it still remain on the home screen?
As far as downloading apps(Since the new app store its kind of weird gonna take some time to get used to it) the apps will NOT install if they are 32bit I assume?
