Apple Releases iOS 11 With Revamped Lock Screen, Fresh App Store, New Siri Voice, and Updated iPad Interface

well damn, 8:15pm and i'm getting no updates showing. my phone says 10.3.3 is up to date on my iphone 7 plus, and my watch app says 3.2.3 is latest.
 
6:10 CET on September 20 and no updates showing on iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. I gave up last night thinking it will definitely be available in the morning. Nope.
 
ip7+ : DFU : set up as new : 1000 today....logged in : itunes/icloud/other EVERYTHING glitches, 3d touch, mutitasking, home button....what's the likelyhood that after 6 hours on (indexing/etc.) that I have a corrupt image? Phone runs like absolute crap. user since ip4.

Wipe and install again or ???

Yup. I was just as bent out of shape as you were. :) It's all just a confusing mess now.
I still can't figure out why Home Videos are not listed as a separate...entity...in iTunes. When you go to decide which videos to sync the real movies and the home videos are all listed together. Music videos are also second-class things. Why can't they be treated as their own type, especially since they ARE their own type within iTunes. It's just silly after all these years.

The GM was leaked for a few hours last week, then it came out after the event. The release on the 19th is the same as both of those.

APFS came out with iOS 10.3. So not new to iOS 11.

For item 3 all you have to do is click anywhere off a tab for the home screen. Button not required.

Seems I remember in the past that Siri voices wouldn’t update to the hi quality until the device is locked, plugged in, and on Wi-Fi. Maybe similar issue here? I have the new voice btw on both iPhone and iPad but been on betas since the beginning.

Does having the public beta GM installed somehow exclude you from this update? I’ve deleted the beta profile and rebooted.

Technically I’m all set with iOS 11 and have no interest in downloading and installing the exact same build just for the heck of it. What I need is watchOS 4, but that’s not showing up either.

I respect that it takes time to propagate this stuff to millions of devices, but it’s been 13+ hours. The longest delays I’ve seen in the past have been around an hour or so.

Edit: After restarting the Watch it detected the update immediately. Still nothing on iOS. So I guess it’ll take an 11.0.1 patch to trigger it. Cool.

how come i live in Israel and got the update on spot?
some of you got delayed in "better countries"? ;)

anyway, on my 6S+ i'm only concerned about drainage.. still checking. i suspect there is some.
 
Update:
I've been using iOS 11 on iPhone 5s. It was very very slow at first after the update, but today it seems to be as fast as iOS 10 was. Kik lagged a lot in the beginning and so did the keyboard, but not anymore. So I'm guessing it's very slow when you turn it on at first.
On the iPad mini 2 it works perfectly as well. I was expecting iPhone 4s iOS 9 slowness, but it's way faster than that.

There's a lot of housekeeping stuff being done after first boot, which is why it can be slow.
 
Airplane Mode doesn't really turns off WiFi Or Bluetooth. Neigther the control center buttons.
So, why would I want to toggle off the wifi via control center while it doesn't turn the wifi off?
And why can airplane mode can't prevents me from whatsapp message notifications?
 
I used iTunes to upgrade both my iPhone SE and iPad Pro 10.5, probably the first time I didn't do it directly on my devices. The process went well, but the iOS itself is quite a buggy bugger IMHO.
Too many annoying details to name, and then there was the frozen Dock...

Wifi:
Because you may want to use Wifi on the plane. Many people do.
Bluetooth:
Because on many airlines you can use your bluetooth headphones. (eg Lufthansa)

I have an iPad model A1475 which I believe is the iPad Air(?) so just makes the supported devices list but have the same as above. Latest software is up to date so thinking the model isn't supported or no idea... 5s phone updated no issues really.
 
Anyone installed iOS 11 on an iPhone 6 - how is it going?

I swear that my iPhone 6 is getting slower just recently.

EDIT, actually its just some of the time its going slower, what makes an iPhone go slower occasionally? Camera app/ keyboards
