Does anyone know how the face data sync across devices is going to work? I have face data on my iPhone but never bothered to set it up on my Mac or iPad. Would love the phone's face albums to start syncing to other devices.

The faces and names of people you have confirmed as those individuals will be synced between devices and used to help train the AI on each device. Automatic recognition by the A.I is still handled on the individual devices, faces recognised in this way are not synced.

I don't get any carrier update and I'm on v29.0 so I should be getting a update to v29.1. I even tried to trigger it manually by tapping the network line under About but it doesn't trigger it.

Finally getting it now. Weird it is 2.04 GB on my iPhone 6S but in iTunes it is 2.61 GB for my iPhone 6S. Installing via iTunes as a fresh setup.

It's sad, but the days of me updating right away are over. I'm hanging back a few days.
Bad move. If you go ahead then you CAN go back if you don't like it or it doesn't suit you. If you wait, Apple will no longer sign 10.3.3 and you will be stuck with it.

Now the big question, whether or not to update my iPhone 6. Leaning towards not
See above comment.

That's normal. The one you download through iTunes is a complete image containing everything that's need for a complete fresh install of iOS11, while the OTA update only contains the parts needed to do the upgrade.

I don't think it's a matter of liking it or not. It's a matter of "what issue is going to exist in the first hour that bricks some phones without a full restore." I too have gotten bitten by that one a few times and I will also be waiting at least a few hours to update.

Fair enough. My opinion of iOS 11 is coloured by the fact that my iPad Pro can now truly replace my laptop, as per marketing blurb.
I just can't go there. I like a true desktop and for me the iPad has largely become a kids movie and app item with some couch surfing. I do so much on my iPhone 7 Plus and use my iMac and MacBook Air for computing. I don't see myself going to the iPad as a laptop replacement. I'm in the camp that my opinion might change if Apple made an iPad Pro like a Surface Pro with macOS instead of iOS.
