My Gen 1s updated to that firmware today. They seem to be working better.

Yup.
After update, News crashes within a few seconds of launch. Repeatable every time.

I sent a report into Apple Feedback, and it was interesting that in the toggle to indicate my iOS version, 12.2 wasn’t [yet] an option. Ugh.

So, I was able to get it working. I uninstalled the app, reinstalled from the app store, and then once it came up, quickly switched to Following tab and then the News+ app. Now I can stay in it just fine, with no issues.

Mine was stuck on 21 hours yesterday. Turned off phone and restarted it. Then restarted the dl. It worked for me...

Seems like the AppleCare section only appears if the warranty is applicable. My device without warranty isn't showing it.

I can’t believe Apple supports this misleading 5G E branding.

Would have wished they had the balls to tell AT&T that Apple devices won’t display 5G indicators for 4G networks - and especially not on phones that don’t support 5G in the first place.

This update is amazing. My iPhone 7 has been improved yet again.
12.0-12.1.4 was great and 12.2 feels even better it’s crazy good.
Animations everywhere including even switching/closing tabs in Safari are heaps faster.
They’ve outdone themselves with this release!

The new feature to automatically log you in after passwords are autofilled in Safari doesn't seem to be working for me. The password is autofilled but then it just sits there like before the update. Is anyone else having trouble with this?

For me it stayed stuck with "remaining time unknown", despite numerous (hard) reboots.
Had to install it from my Mac eventually
