iPhone 7 Plus, iPad Pro 12.9, Apple Watch 3 and one ATV4K updated...total time 1 hour 18 minutes, with the Apple Watch taking the longest, by far.

Time to play. :)

It installed quickly on my iPhone X and iPad Pro but it’s taking ages on my iPad mini 4.

Still need to do my Apple TV, Apple Watch and HomePods.

Even playing PUBG Mobile feels a little bit snappier! This is insane!

Can't afford a phone that Memoji will work on so nothing really to upgrade for on either my personal phone OR my work iPhone 7Plus. Since they didn't update an SE and all current phones are too big, I've started looking at Android options or buying a cheap SE to be backup for when this one dies/is rendered obsolete.

Went to ATT store Saturday and got a new SE for $80 (32G). Best Apple purchase since forever.

The phones and iPad installed quickly enough, as did the AppleTV. AS USUAL, THOUGH, the HomePod update is taking forever and the Apple Watch update time is a disgrace. Will they EVER optimize the iWatch update so that it doesn't take well over an hour?

I installed the GM on an iPhone 6 last week. It wasn't a clean install and the prior OS was 11.4.1. It's impressive how much better the phone is now. So far, I have not seen any real glitches. Yes, it's still slow, but MUCH less slow. I think my next phone will be a 6s :)

Thank you to everyone running to install today. I appreciate your willingness to deal with new release potential bugs and explosions so the rest of us don't have to. Ill enjoy iOS 12 in a month until then good luck!

:)

Playing with it now for a little more than an hour, this is possibly the best iOS release ever. Safari, Apps Opening, WiFi, iCloud, Photos, etc not a single problem or annoyance so far, but lots of small improvement all over the place.

That's already what the lengthy beta was for. They've never had that many iterations of an iOS update before.

Just like the lengthy iOS 11 beta last year? :)

What's the saying, "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me"

:)

p.s. Ask anyone in professional IT about update timing for non security patches :)

There's iTunes 12.6.5 which was released last week. You may need that one.

That's strange then because the release build is not any different than the GM, and if you're running the GM there's nothing to update to.
My iTunes version is 12.9.0.167

iOS 12 on iPhone 6+.
Swipe up from the bottom opens the control center
I thought it would open the home screen as in the iP X.
Is this a bug??

iOS 11 beta is 100% completely different than iOS 12 beta. It's the longest beta they've ever run and it shows. The focus with 12 was to clearly iron out the plethora of issues they had with 11. I have no stake in whether you update now or in 2 months, but very little is going to change in that time. :):):):):):):):)

I usually don't update when the very first version of a new iOS release is out, but reviews out there are so positive I'll give it a shot. Besides, 11.4.1 will be available for a week or two, so I'll just wait for about 50 minutes for my iPhone SE to download through the super slow 2 mbps Wi-Fi at work :p

In a month or tow I'll test it on my spare 5S, and finally on my wife's 5S.

What's up with the iPhone X Screen colors.. do I need to adjust something or something?
I checked Accessibility just in case, and everything is as usual...The iPhone X screen was perfect, I don't see the need to modify it...UNLESS the upcoming XS ARE more color saturated and they want all to look as close as possible

My Apple watch took only about half hour to download and update
