Re: Third Party Password AutoFill — looks like LastPass has beat 1Password to the game. AgileBits — where is your updated 1Password 7.2 app?

You're wrong.
I assumed this was related to the new Software Update pane in Mojave also showing updates for attached iOS devices. Guess I was mistaken.

Had to download the IPSW to update the iPad Air 2 the old way through iTunes on the Mac Pro running 10.13.6, but this might be because the iPad is still running iOS 8.4.1.

Nope, somethings up with iTunes 12.8.0. It says I can update to iOS12 but when you try it does nothing. I updated my 6s OTA no problem and now when I plug it in to iTunes it doesn't even recognize the phone as being connected.

I don't know why Apple and others don't mention it. iOS 12 is the first iOS to be full AArch64 only.

tvOS should also be full AArch64 as well. Only the Apple Watch OS isn't.
What does this mean?

Anyone else noticed that Safari got an update too on macOS? It seems to disable some extensions due to "slowing down browsing"...
Yes, it seems they don't want you to use free adblockers anymore. It disabled mine and when I re-enable it it constantly has popups stating too many rules in extension.

So what happened to restrictions in setting/general?
Where did they move it?

No, they don’t want people using the older Extensions. They want people to use the newer Content Blockers, which have far less access to see what websites the user is visiting.

Playing with it now for a little more than an hour, this is possibly the best iOS release ever. Safari, Apps Opening, WiFi, iCloud, Photos, etc not a single problem or annoyance so far, but lots of small improvement all over the place.
Are there finally options for automatic sorting of items in Reminders, such as sorting by title? Or has Apple still not tested the application with more than 1 item in a list?

Installed iOS 12 on iPhone X and iPad Pro (10,5") and tried some apps (Safari, Telephone, demanding game Asphalt 9…) and everything seems to be fine so far.

The camera app is started even faster on iPhone than before right from the lockscreen. Face ID is quicker as well.

tvOS is practically just a re-skinned Apple TV OS 7, so I’m sure there’s a ton of legacy code hanging around in there preventing the switch to only 64bit.

Watch Series 4 is the first one to launch with a 64-bit proc so understandable there

There are always going to be bugs on GM releases. I would not consider this particular one a show stopper, it will be fixed in the weeks ahead.

No software should release with this kind of mindset. If it's known and reported, fix before delivering. Stop normalizing buggy software releases.

Just updated my 5s, 6s and iPad mini 2 here in the UK, no problems at all, everything running smoothly.

dang, jailbroken on 10.2 and really tempted to update for the improved performance

How do you know that the performance improvement isn't merely bringing it back to iOS 10 level from iOS 11's slowdown?

I'm on 10.x myself. Interested in iOS 12 ONLY for the performance "focus" of the version, but I want to see how performance and bug levels compare to iOS 10.

you can already do that, i can't remember how exactly and my phone is currently updating... i think you force touch or long press on the tabs icon...

Ah Force Touch, such an un-intuitive interface idea. Guess apple assumes we all will just randomly press on parts of iOS in hopes of activating a secret function/menu!

The phones and iPad installed quickly enough, as did the AppleTV. AS USUAL, THOUGH, the HomePod update is taking forever and the Apple Watch update time is a disgrace. Will they EVER optimize the iWatch update so that it doesn't take well over an hour?

You're trying to grab all the updates on Day 1, along with 10 million other devices. I'd fully expect a _bit_ of slowness in downloading some of the updates. Have some patience. Let's not be so quick to pass judgment, eh?

Yep noticed that!
