I updated my mother in law's iPhone Sunday before she received the notification in Settings. Many customers are likely in the same situation, so releasing a few updates now is ok, as many people will upgrade to 13.1.2 from 12 without experiencing the bugs.
13 is not a good release so far, but if they need to fix stuff they better to it quickly releasing updates frequently. Most people don't manually check for updates, so they don't notice this fast release pace.
Hopefully they'll take their time to bake 13.2 and next time we won't experience 4 releases in a few days.

Same here. Shortcuts is broken on HomePod and Watch, and this update did not fix it on my HomePod. Did it fix it for you?
Looks like mine are working again. I didn't play around with it too much last night, but I did tell it to turn on my tv and it was able to handle that. I'm going to play around with it some more tonight.

They are making it up as they go along with these daily updates , rushed release and this is the result!
Rush release? They have the same deadline for the past decade. Wwdc showcases what the next iOS is about, betas are sent out months in advanced. There is no “rushed release” these are just tweets to fix the hiccups.

You guys take apples consistent free updates and yearly improvements for granted. They are the only company who keeps up with their OS throughout the year unlike the completion.

iPad pro gen 3 12.9...the screen inverts to upside down when being handled in portrait mode. Still have an occasional non responsive touch screen.

Anyone have actual information on whether bugs are fixed, if any new ones are introduced or is it all just absolutely hilarious whining?

My photos taken with my iPhone 11 Pro Max are absolutely beautiful. Color, sharpness...all great.
So are mine. I just can't get used to the slightly weird OLED display.

So you don't like the fact that they are fixing things?

If they are releasing bug fixes then I'm not sure what's worrying you. Maybe you'd feel better if nothing was fixed. Or maybe you expect all software to be bug-free out of the gate, which is about as likely as the sun exploding tomorrow.

When you have an update Friday then one on Monday that's bad, you could of combined the two

I don't see the updates on iPhone or iPad. Have they been pulled?

It is rushed because they needed iOS 13 for the new phones and they can't delay their main product, so iOS needs to be released in September every year, even when it is not fully baked.
I understand they need something exclusive to the new phones in the fall, but 3 months between WWDC and the final release are not enough when they add a lot of new stuff. Some stuff should be moved to .2 or .3 after 6 months, like they did with ARKit 1.5. SwiftUI is really cool, but it wasn't ready and was something they could have postponed to have more time to get feedbacks from the community, while they rushed it to make it to 13.0 spending time to integrate it within iOS.

How's this version on the iPhone 7 Plus?

Dude, if you're on 12.4.x and you don't have a can't live without at this moment feature on 13.x, I'd encourage you to wait. Just wait a month, things should be in much better shape by the end of October. Some folks have issues with 7's on 13, some don't. JMHO.. (I have 13 on an 11 so couldn't avoid it)

I update my Androids steadily actually. I run custom ROMs to get software I want not what is handed to me. Having worked at Apple the last 3 years it's been a sad sight to see. They've dwindled down teams that used to focus on development for iOS and now overwork the percentage left. 13 is that result.
What do you mean by dwindled down teams? Apple has laid off people or people have left?

Really? SQL editor bugs? How many normal people do you think that affects? Answer: none.

iOS bugs like Photos app restore of photos taking a week instead of hours is an issue that affects everyone.

I have clients running Windows 10 1903 since the day it was released and no issues.

If MS has "crap broken for months", it affects like 2 people. You...and someone else.

Name an OS where "stuff" isn't broken at some point or another.

You've completely missed the point people are making on iOS 13...released with major bugs and updates to fix a handful every other day. While I am not a believer that any new major verson of an OS should be perfect, I do believe that iOS 13 has far more blatant issues than it should have had.
Um, no. In the enterprise, people use the SQL editor all the time...lol. Are you joking? You probably put Excel “expert” on your resume because you can do a vlookup and a pivot table.

We don’t all work at our local retail store. Your ”clients” are not finance guys at Fortune 25 companies, evidently. We hate Excel and Access. Besides, Excel is just garbage altogether...it’s completely unstable, forget the SQL editor. Once you get a few thousand formulas in the workbook (spoiler, that’s like every Excel file in large/medium companies), it sucks.

List the specific, verifiable issues with iOS 13 and how long it took for a fix? Very hard to identify what issues affected which users. The Photos but did NOT impact me. You actually don’t know the impact. Even if there were some issues, they fixed them quickly...which is why there were several. It was not every other day.

The macro picture here is Apple provides consistent support and updates, which should be applauded. 13.1.2 is great and remember, 13.1 contained additional features incremental to 13.0, so you can’t just say the 13.1 release was only a bug fix update.

What do you mean by dwindled down teams? Apple has laid off people or people have left?

Apple has taken people from sections and put them in different areas. People have also left after that as well. The amount of people that are actually fluent and familiar with iOS development is minimal. They basically abandoned everything and started fresh and it's been horrific trying to work since.

iOS13 has been stable across all of my devices.. Must be in the minority judging by these comments.

iOS 13 has been fine on my iPhone 7, but then, I would expect it to with the number of iterations that have come out. This thing has taken iOS betas like a champ too, barely any issues except the battery drain one in iOS 13.0 beta 1/2.

Stop acting like you know the inner workings of the iOS team. This is total misinformation.

Well, none of my Siri shortcuts work. What you’re describing doesn’t sound like a Siri shortcut for a third-party app, but do keep me posted if you can. None of mine work.
