Jesus. I don’t know whether to be impressed or worried lol.

Riiiigh!?!!!

3 point updates in less than 10 days!
20TH - 13.0
24TH - 13.1 (thank you we got this 6 days earlier)
28TH - 13.1.1
30TH - 13.1.2

I'm not too worried since they're quickly finding bugs or the community is STRRRRONG and finding the bugs and Apple with their 10's of thousands of employees are working harder!

Android LMAO why would I ever consider that platform and it's open-sourced based on Linux. Imaging where Linux would be if Apple really pushed MACH (OSX kernel) to open-source vehemently vs the passive nature.
They are rushing now what happened to software quality control.

This is it! They're FIXING issues NOT leaving them to get worse ... that's the control of the quality experience we're seeing. I'm sure many of us have not noticed even half the issues posted that is being fixed, I have not.

I’m seeing that where under WiFi is shows connected, but no icon and I won’t see my device listed in my WiFi network. Also speeds are around 20/20 on my mesh network even though I have 200/200 service. On my XS I’d see maybe 80/80 when I was on 100/100 service.
Which mesh router is that? I'm seeing a solid 500 MBit on my XS (non-mesh WiFi)

I couldn’t move icons. Also I couldn’t move events on the calendar. It’s fixed in this update.

What is wrong with this picture?

They may have just changed gears and are going to issue an update for everything found as fast as they can, instead of making people be annoyed forever*. Maybe it has something to do with shifting more and more to Swift (both the number of bugs and/or fixing them fast).

* In computer years.

Is that an iPad? If so, shouldn’t that read ”iPadOS 13.1.2”? Maybe someone forgot to change a text string?

Yes, this is an iPad.

Name of OS should be stored in a final String and used globally. Unless, they are repeating the name in each and every string.

Right, global strings means less typing and easier management. Looks like they missed one.

Is anyone suddenly having reboot problems with your Toyota Entune systems? If my phone is connected through Bluetooth to the head unit, said HU will reboot about every minute.

The update notes said it fixed BT issues with some vehicles, but it didn’t help mine...

Has Microsoft ever had that many issues with releases? Not to mention the fact that they deal with millions of device models and Apple is dealing with just a dozen (at most).
I hope this is a joke. As someone who uses Microsoft products on a daily basis, they not only get CONSTANT updates, but stuff is constantly broken.

Excel is perhaps the buggiest program man has ever created If you’re doing anything more than SUMIFs and Vlookups.

Was there a single occasion when Microsoft had to make 4 releases in 10 days? 3 releases? 2 releases? I think Apple just set a record for the worst quality of OS releases.

Um, ok. I got a pop up that WatchOS 6.0.1 was available. Now I see yet another update for phone, iPad? I guess this is good...not sure?? (Maybe this will finally fix SMS on iPad. 🤔)

In the meantime, my iDevices are becoming like a Windows PC wanting to update every few days.

iOS 13 release doesn’t seem any different than any other. They are waiting a shorter amount of time to fix some of the important items. But your perception on this is as they say ...YMMV.

No, conversely, Microsoft leaves the same crap broken for months and gives you meaningless updates that do nothing.

I’ve been on calls with the Microsoft Enterprise support team to try to get the SQL editor bugs fixed. I work for a Fortune 10 company and we have the highest level of Microsoft support possible. They admitted there is a problem in the logic but indicated it won’t be fixed until a larger release.

You’re definitely overreacting to the last few updates from Apple. Some of these updates are improvements, not just bug fixes and some of them are just Apple trying to get you software quickly. They could be like Microsoft and update a ton of stuff you don’t even understand or wait forever like Samsung Android phones before they update, if ever.

If they didn’t update the software frequently, you’d complain it’s not fast enough and they should release fixes as they make them versus waiting for a massive release.

Software inherently has bugs. Frequent updates are FAR better than the alternative.

No camera: Updated from 12.4.1 to 13.0 and lost rear camera. 13.1, then 13.1.1, then downgrading back t0 12.4.1 and then today to 13.1.2: STILL. NO. CAMERA. So...

I took it to the Genius Bar at my nearby Apple Store. They ran their diagnostics (two separate apps, btw, on iPads including one connected to my iPhone). Both showed the rear (and front) cameras are "Functioning Normally." This is a iPhone 6s+ - well out of warranty.

They offered to replace the camera for $59 + tax. Replace a "functioning normally" camera that doesn't work due to iOS 13-de-jour. Without pausing to think, "Hmmmm.... what if the NEW camera doesn't work EITHER?"

HEY APPLE: You skipped iPhone 9. You REALLY should've skipped iOS 13 as it's really living up to its name.

I remember iOS 6 being released in September 2012, and having to wait until November for iOS 6.0.1. I definitely remember iOS 6.0 being glitchy and very buggy. I'd rather this timeline.

The fact that Apple is making these quick releases is a bad sign on its own. It says that the issues are critical and the fixes can't be delayed. Otherwise Apple would delay them (there were plenty of cases where iOS bugs were not fixed for a long long time). Besides, OS release (even as as simple IS as iOS) just can't be properly tested in a week, let alone in 3 days. What we are seeing is Apple making emergency releases without proper testing. Obviously, they just don't have a choice. But this also tells us that even after these latest releases iOS will still have plenty of bugs.

AMPLIFI HD running their software version 3.1.1. Others apparently are seeing the same issue. 13.1.2 is a touch better, but not like when I was on 13.0 betas.
I’m running AMPLIFI (5 cubes!) and I’m seeing 200/20 wifi on 3.1.1. (3.1.x sucks for other reasons, though - random WAN dropping for a few seconds ever since 3.1, but I am having no problems that I can attribute just to iOS devices)

It’s probably their firmware, just seems more prevalent with 13.1 and 13.1.x

It doesn’t say anything, other than they are getting them out...now you’re speculating on reasons.

I don’t think anything has been an emergency, and you are again overreacting...but that’s what haters do.

Nothing would make you happy except some nebulous version of personal perfection that isn’t necessarily perfect for others. You would complain if it’s not often enough, too often, not enough features, too many gimmick features, and on and on.

Just move to Android...few if any updates from most manufacturers.
