Yeah, I'm totally overreacting by saying this has been a poor upgrade process. Nah, you're right. It's all going fantastic.

Siri Shortcuts has been broken on my Watch and HomePod since the release of 13. So yes, I do notice and pay attention to the updates because I want my products to work as intended. I pay the Apple money because of the "It just works." This update has been anything but that. You can call that out when it happens. It isn't necessarily always all sunshine and rainbows.
There is a difference between going fantastic, normal, and a disaster. Not everything is a disaster.

Apple gets out software updates pretty quickly (clearly, because people are complaining it's actually too many) so the mistakes are addressed far more quickly than Android.

In my own meaninglessness and anecdotal experience, I had a Note 4 and there were so many bugs that never got fixed, I switched to iOS. It's night and day.

I pulled the trigger, it downloaded and I hit install. Restarted and straight to the Apple logo and a spinner below it. It's been a few minutes. I've never seen this before... wait it out, restart the phone if possible, or is my iPhone 11 Pro bricked?

Thought I could install Software Updates on my Apple Watch without my iPhone starting in WatchOS 6. But no, I have to read the Terms and Conditions on my iPhone, why Apple? What is so difficult making it possible to read the Terms and Conditions on my Apple Watch, I can read similar sized texts via email on my Apple Watch without any problems.

Did not have that problem. I downloaded it, let it verify and the only thing it asked me after I entered my code on watch was to put on charger, even though my watch was over 50%, although come to think of it I might have just let it proceed on my wrist...

and its done very quickly no interaction with phone although I looked for heck of it and my watch app noticed the update installing and gave data like it does in older OS installed from phone

I think this is a plot along with internet companies to drive web accounts over the limit. I got a notice from Comcast that I used 90% of the one Tb they allow. Sure, I watch movies on Apple TV but not anything close to that. Then I thought back to all the updates I did to a family's worth of phones, iPads and watches along with having to redo the iCloud account because of screwed up software updates. Next time, I'm waiting for the ".2" version(already in the works BTW).
Yea man these 80mb updates are whats causing you to hit 1 terrabyte usage..

did you download them 12,500 times in a month bro?

Hope this fixes the slow WiFi I’ve been encountering on the 11 Pro

I have been having a problem with it not wanting to connect to my WiFi. It shows as connected but I don't see the WiFi icon only LTE. So I have to disconnect it and then click the network again for it to work. Its very annoying.

Let me know when the iOS crowd speaks by leaving the platform. Currently, it's not happening. These forums are not representative of the iOS population (over 1B iPhones and iPads).

You guys are overreacting, as usual. Apple understands hardware/software integration and software support far better than their biggest competitor. FAR better. It's not even close.

Download your update and relax.

Thanks, it's nice to have an adult in the room.

There's supposed to be an update to HomePod's audioOS today. According to the HomePod page on Apple.com, radio stations are launching today. Other features like multi users, HandOff and ambient sounds are "Coming later this Fall".

EDIT: Apple has removed the "Coming September 30th" badge from radio stations and now lists them as an available feature. I guess this was a server side Siri update. An audioOS update will be required for the other features later this Fall.

EDIT 2: Radio stations have now been changed to Coming This Fall. I guess Apple didn't deliver it today, after all. What a crazy update cycle this year.

But they still haven't solved the flicker issue related to View Full HDR on iPhone 11 Pro (Max) which wasn't a problem on iOS 13.0

I think I’ll stay away until 13.2 or 13.3. 12.4.1 is rock solid. I used to update everything day one but I’ve learned my lesson.

You do realize Apple has to pay for bandwidth used to distribute updates, right? These updates are distributed through cloud storage providers that charge a fee per GB transferred. Releasing these updates costs Apple money directly.

There is no "plot" to drive you to use up your ISP quota. That quota is entirely Comcast's fault and you should take it up with them.

I’m seeing that where under WiFi is shows connected, but no icon and I won’t see my device listed in my WiFi network. Also speeds are around 20/20 on my mesh network even though I have 200/200 service. On my XS I’d see maybe 80/80 when I was on 100/100 service.

It may appear there is overacting, however, it's my understanding this forum is for enthusiasts, even may be say Apple fans.

PSA ---- Apple fans, please curb your enthusiasm. This is an Apple forum, but we must decrease our fandom. <sarcasm off>
