And my reminders are still jacked up the app freezes when launched in iOS
Not only in iOS, it also freezes in iPadOS, watchOS and macOS Catalina. Since iOS 13.1.1 I can't get rid of any of my (now overdue, but done) reminders on any of my updated devices.

I'm glad to have an old iPhone 5s with iOS 12.4.2....

It's clear now why Craig didn't spend anytime this year making jokes about the marketing department and naming for this year's releases.

iOS 14 will be out before we know it, and confessions of smoking too much during the development of High Sierra will surface.

At this rate, iOS 14 will be out by this Christmas. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Must have been a busy weekend at Apple's Headquarters.

Remember their reaction to iOS 11? They said they listened to users' complaints about too many bugs and wouldn't rush to release new features. iOS 12 went so well. But then they forgot the lesson a year after.

I recall one update that BROKE THE CELLULAR RADIO. Like, completely. Your phone was now useless until you either restored to a previous version or you waited for the next update.

So yeah, not the worst by far. :)
iOS 8.0.1, I believe! One of the few updates over the years I'd luckily NOT installed right away, and benefitted immensely from waiting.

Apple fired that staff to bring in cheaper help or outsourced it all so all the lessons learned were lost. 🤣

If they continue down that road, iOS 14 needs to be feature capped again.

It seems after they introduce big changes (camera) and also things that people really could live without (Animojis anyone?), but are pushed from Management (for marketing and target audience reasons), they have issues with QA that just does not have enough time to not only get everything being throughfully tested, but also debugged to a point that would make us feel like it's really a "final" release.

The last few releases really show that Apple seems to prioritize deadlines more than stability. Even though I think they are trying their best to make up for it with new releases so close to each other.

You're not gonna find much of a bigger fanboy than me, but these updates are kinda crazy. I think it's pretty clear 13 was rushed to meet the iPhone 11 release deadline. I usually never have software issues after a release. This year they were pretty apparent. It's good they are fixing things no doubt, but it'd be nice if they were more polished right away.
Imagine for a moment you were less of a fanboy and didn't check for updates daily or monitor these forums. How many updates would you perceive getting if there were 3 updates between iOS 13 and today?

It's just not that big of a deal. People probably take a few weeks to install updates, so they don't even notice.

Again, most of these issues are not critical or showstopping bugs/security issues that would necessitate immediate download. You guys are, as usual, overreacting. iOS 13 has already been called the worst iOS in history.

Yet again they ignore these bugs:

- old devices are kept listed under devices in Screen Time even though they’ve long been deleted from iCloud

- in the Health app paired Apple Watches are duplicated and a “This Watch is no longer paired with this iPhone” message appears associated to the Watch that is actually collecting health data

I noticed when I tap on a message notification on certain apps (i.e. instagram) it scrambles the entire header, making them impossible to use without restarting them. Really, really weak.

The forums blew up because features that worked in iOS 12 no longer worked in iOS 13 and some end users saw their batteries draining at an alarming rate.

Hardware needs software to work and vice versa. If the software doesn't work, it's the first thing noticed by end users. Most users will endure cheaper hardware for great software but not cheaper software for better hardware.

I hope it fixes all the gesture and rendering issues in iPadOS. Annoying and feels really shoddy.

Let me know when the iOS crowd speaks by leaving the platform. Currently, it's not happening. These forums are not representative of the iOS population (over 1B iPhones and iPads).

You guys are overreacting, as usual. Apple understands hardware/software integration and software support far better than their biggest competitor. FAR better. It's not even close.

Download your update and relax.

Yeah, I'm totally overreacting by saying this has been a poor upgrade process. Nah, you're right. It's all going fantastic.

Siri Shortcuts has been broken on my Watch and HomePod since the release of 13. So yes, I do notice and pay attention to the updates because I want my products to work as intended. I pay the Apple money because of the "It just works." This update has been anything but that. You can call that out when it happens. It isn't necessarily always all sunshine and rainbows.

I'm glad to see this... I actually ran into the HomePod shortcut issue a couple days ago, wasn't sure if it was actually a bug or if I was just doing something wrong (or if HomePod needed os13 first too). Updating now!
