What's the iMessages bug? I'm not currently aware of it. I use iCloud for just about everything I can so I don't have to only store things locally. I haven't had too many iOS 15 bugs to date. iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Apparently, if you get a picture from Messages, save it to your Photos, and then delete it from Messages, it will also disappear from Photos, as if the pictures are cross-linked. It's a pretty bad bug, new to iOS 15.

This is really bad for folks who prune their Messages threads for any number of reasons. Given the fact that Messages in the Cloud is turned off by default, you probably have some users who are pruning Messages for storage space reasons, not realizing the linked photos are also vanishing.

But, as you and I have both noted, if you do store all your messages in iCloud, your need to prune Messages diminishes greatly.

This worked. Finally, I must say, it's been actually quite helpful with the mask on.
FYI, I had to re-enable "Apple Watch unlock my Mac" setting after the update. Not sure if it's related, but last time I had to do it was when I changed watch about a year ago.

People with iCloud could probably work around this bug by saving the photo to files / iCloud Drive. I usually do and it works well.

Has anyone confirmed if this fixes the Core Animation Bug? I'm really looking forward to that being fixed.

Coming from an X which I had to re-charge again quickly in the evening so it didn't die during the night, I now can do almost 2 days without charging 🤩
Yeah, i am ending the day with >50% battery every day. This is easily the most battery life I’ve ever gotten out of an iphone.

Not sure if this is related to 15.0.1 or just 15. I am unable to export Apple Card transactions. No problems before upgrading to 15. Went to contact Apple Card support and got reply "We are experiencing longer than expected wait times...." Hmmm

Anyone else that has Apple Card experiencing this problem?

I can’t get a full day without a top up charge either. I was really hoping 13 pro max would go the day. I guess it would be great if I didn’t use.
There may be something wrong with your phone, or perhaps you haven’t waited until it’s stopped all the background indexing that happens when you first get it? In all tests everyone has published, and in my experience, it has phenomenal battery life compared to all prior iPhones.

Something is deff wrong with your phone! Did you look at the Battery setting to see what app is using up your battery?

It says it’s done in about zero days. Lucky me 🙂

Any app I’m using really. But YouTube is especially bad.

Apple today released iOS 15.0.1, which is the first official update to the iOS 15 operating system that was released in September. iOS 15.0.1 comes two weeks after the launch of iOS 15, and it is a bug fix update.

The iOS 15.0.1 update can be downloaded for free and the software is available on all eligible devices over-the-air in the Settings app. To access the new software, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

Today's update likely fixes an Apple Watch bug that has been affecting iPhone 13 users. Many iPhone 13 owners have been unable to use the feature that's designed to allow an iPhone to unlock with an authenticated Apple Watch when the user is wearing a mask.

People who have attempted to use this option have run into an error message about a communication issue with the Apple Watch. Apple promised that a fix was in the works shortly after the bug surfaced, and has also fixed the issue in the iOS 15.1 beta.

Today's update also fixes a bug that could cause the Settings app to incorrectly display an alert that storage is full, and it addresses an issue that could cause audio meditations to unexpectedly start a workout on Apple Watch for some Fitness+ subscribers. Apple has also released a new version of iPadOS 15.0.1, which has the same fixes for the Settings app and audio meditations.

Apple has also said that it is planning a fix for a Core Animation bug preventing some developers from taking full advantage of 120Hz ProMotion displays for their app animations, and that may also be in the update.

I'm curious, have you ever considered switching to <the os that shall not be named>? sometimes it feels like it's time for a change.
Yes, repeatedly. Sometimes apple and its choices are driving me furious.
But frankly… what would you switch to? Android? Windows? Gotta babe kidding me…

Apple seems to me like democracy… it‘s the worst, except everything else…

Took 2 attempts before it installed , didn't pay much attention so not sure why this happened, don't recall it happening before with an IOS update.
