Apparently, if you get a picture from Messages, save it to your Photos, and then delete it from Messages, it will also disappear from Photos, as if the pictures are cross-linked. It's a pretty bad bug, new to iOS 15.What's the iMessages bug? I'm not currently aware of it. I use iCloud for just about everything I can so I don't have to only store things locally. I haven't had too many iOS 15 bugs to date. iPhone 12 Pro Max.
People with iCloud could probably work around this bug by saving the photo to files / iCloud Drive. I usually do and it works well.Apparently, if you get a picture from Messages, save it to your Photos, and then delete it from Messages, it will also disappear from Photos, as if the pictures are cross-linked. This is really bad for folks who prune their Messages threads for any number of reasons. Given the fact that Messages in the Cloud is turned off by default, you probably have some users who are pruning Messages for storage space reasons, not realizing the linked photos are also vanishing.
But, as you and I have both noted, if you do store all your messages in iCloud, your need to prune Messages diminishes greatly.
? What poor battery life?Hopefully it fixes the poor battery life on the 13 pro max.
Coming from an X which I had to re-charge again quickly in the evening so it didn't die during the night, I now can do almost 2 days without charging 🤩? What poor battery life?
How stupid, someone that doesn’t know how to simply read, and who thinks if THEY don’t use something, then nobody uses it. The world does not revolve around you…How stupid, a whole iOS update for all devices and most people I know (me included) dont even use an Apple watch.
Yeah, i am ending the day with >50% battery every day. This is easily the most battery life I’ve ever gotten out of an iphone.Coming from an X which I had to re-charge again quickly in the evening so it didn't die during the night, I now can do almost 2 days without charging 🤩
Just a guess, but maybe they feel testing on 15.1 isn't complete (perhaps this bit works but some other bits don't), and they wanted to get this fix out quickly. I think it's a good move on their part.Amazed they went this route as opposed to pushing 15.1 which also resolved this issue (at least in my use).
I can’t get a full day without a top up charge either. I was really hoping 13 pro max would go the day. I guess it would be great if I didn’t use.? What poor battery life?
There may be something wrong with your phone, or perhaps you haven’t waited until it’s stopped all the background indexing that happens when you first get it? In all tests everyone has published, and in my experience, it has phenomenal battery life compared to all prior iPhones.I can’t get a full day without a top up charge either. I was really hoping 13 pro max would go the day. I guess it would be great if I didn’t use.
Something is deff wrong with your phone! Did you look at the Battery setting to see what app is using up your battery?I can’t get a full day without a top up charge either. I was really hoping 13 pro max would go the day. I guess it would be great if I didn’t use.

Using a 13mini with Watch 6. Had the issue with iOS 15; 15.0.1 resolved it.
Apple today released iOS 15.0.1, which is the first official update to the iOS 15 operating system that was released in September. iOS 15.0.1 comes two weeks after the launch of iOS 15, and it is a bug fix update.

The iOS 15.0.1 update can be downloaded for free and the software is available on all eligible devices over-the-air in the Settings app. To access the new software, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
Today's update likely fixes an Apple Watch bug that has been affecting iPhone 13 users. Many iPhone 13 owners have been unable to use the feature that's designed to allow an iPhone to unlock with an authenticated Apple Watch when the user is wearing a mask.

People who have attempted to use this option have run into an error message about a communication issue with the Apple Watch. Apple promised that a fix was in the works shortly after the bug surfaced, and has also fixed the issue in the iOS 15.1 beta.
Today's update also fixes a bug that could cause the Settings app to incorrectly display an alert that storage is full, and it addresses an issue that could cause audio meditations to unexpectedly start a workout on Apple Watch for some Fitness+ subscribers. Apple has also released a new version of iPadOS 15.0.1, which has the same fixes for the Settings app and audio meditations.
Apple has also said that it is planning a fix for a Core Animation bug preventing some developers from taking full advantage of 120Hz ProMotion displays for their app animations, and that may also be in the update.

Well, YouTube is draining my battery as hell, too. Maybe it’s not your device…Any app I’m using really. But YouTube is especially bad.
Yes, repeatedly. Sometimes apple and its choices are driving me furious.I'm curious, have you ever considered switching to <the os that shall not be named>? sometimes it feels like it's time for a change.
