Damn it.. Literally just erased the phone and did an iCloud restore *last night*.

Now my App Library looks like a toddler organized everything as "Other".

Should have waited a few more hours I guess.
I hear ya. Did an iCloud backup restore, then followed by a local restore (and possibly others, honestly can't even remember any more) over the last week.
It just works 😢

Tried the local backup/restore too with an encrypted backup. It was a disaster. And, yes, I installed Apple's update from yesterday to "fix" local backup/restores. It just works

Yes, repeatedly. Sometimes apple and its choices are driving me furious.
But frankly… what would you switch to? Android? Windows? Gotta babe kidding me…

Apple seems to me like democracy… it‘s the worst, except everything else…
I've considered Android because I use mainly google technologies in addition to Apple, such as Chromecast, and my 4k Sony TV runs Android TV, and I like it, though I prefer the TV smarts to be via external devices when possible, because it's easier to ensure updates to more apps and services, and overall functionality. I also use Amazon products, but while they have kindle, and Fire products, they don't have a phone. So android does.

I'll probably end up doing multi platform, say keep an iPhone for my main device since it works well for that, and maybe go android in a tablet. My iPad Air 2 is getting long in the tooth age wise, and since I've wanted to try android for a while, this could be a good opportunity.

I just tried updating my new iPad Mini 6 and it’s been stuck on the apple screen for over two hours. I tried a hard reset (volume buttons and then hold down lower) and it still gets stuck on the apple screen on reboot. Grrrrr.

seems like I’ve spotted more in the final release than the last couple of beta.

The most annoying,

no matter how many times I reset my AirPods and repair they’re never long for association. It’s REALLY annoying. Couple that with full iPad lockups that require a hard reset and numerous other smaller bugs - I’d say so far this launch is unsuccessful and clearly rushed.

I have not noticed any other bugs other than the Apple watch unlocking.
My battery life was just *****! Took everything I could think of to fix it, including multiple resets and restore, network resets, etc.
Notifications UI glitch I mentioned above where groups of notifications overlay one another and won't let you click on one or the other.
Yesterday, FaceID stopped working for AppStore downloads. Tried everything, turning that feature on/off, restarting, reseting/deleting/resetting up FaceID--nothing. Only thing that worked was fully Logging Out of iCloud on the Phone, and re-logging in.
Today, Mac mini threw a "Update Apple ID Settings" error. Trying to actually do it, by clicking the associated "continue" button and providing the pw didn't work. Ignored it, then same thing started on iPad and iPhone. Required 2-3 hours messing around, by logging out of the iCloud on all devices one by one, then at the same time, then restarting, then logging back in, then the error came back again, then logging out again, and back in again, trying to fix it over and over over again. Had something to do with iCloud Keychain, which I don't even use, but the error message and the red badge on the Settings app was annoying me. Finally fixed the iPhone and iPad. Mac refused. Suggestion was to restart in safe mode and do it there, did it, then it took the computer 30+ to reboot to normal (out of safe) mode.
I'm sure I forgot something else that happened in the last week or so. But yeah that's a bit.

Meanwhile, wife says she can't listen to her voicemails, she's like they start playing and then stop. Which wouldn't suck so much if it wasn't for the fact that it was her bday on Wed. Again, I'm sure there's more there.

Same here, I thought I had a music issue, but I had a knowledge issue 😬 iTunes said there was no music, but I saw it on the iPhone and it played....turns out I had to redownload and those were just markers.

1h40mins. But all over sudden it jumped back to life. Mini 6 as well. Unfortunately no change, still 2" "padding" on the home screen, making the mini a micro. 14.8 like on my 5 looks so much better and is way more responsive.

Anyone else experience a bug where your Safari tab loses it’s address bar? The area where it should be is still there, but no address or search bar. iPhone 13 Pro

The only way to fix it is to open a new tab (which has an address bar) and then close the first one. If you switch between the two tabs the old one will always lack the bar and the new one will have the bar. This is with the setting changed to show the bar on top.

Yeh I’ve had this problem.

15.1 is planned for November release. Besides, still not ready for prime time. Still have lots of bugs to fix.
That couldn't be that's a whole month ahead, but if that is true i'm 100% sure we can expect many 15.0.X releases during October, starting next week pretty much.

I only use encrypted local backups. When you say it was a disaster, are you saying the backup can’t be trusted?

Am I the only one who still have the watch unlock issue after updating to 15.0.1? Still shows communication error after I switch on watch unlock

i have Iphone 13 with watch nike 4….

I NEED HELP!!!!

I updated my iPhone 13 to iOS 15.0.1 today. Before this update Cell service was working fine. After this update I have no data. I have toggled airplane mode, reset network settings, and even went so far as to reset the entire phone and set up from an iCloud backup.

I am on the support iMessage with apple support now and they are clueless…. My rep went so far as to argue with me over iOS 15.0 being the latest official version, I had to send her the support article detailing iOS 15.0.1 being the newest.

They have no idea, what’s going on. They told me to contact my carrier about the data, I have a call back scheduled (two hour wait).

Anyone have any ideas? Am I the only one?

When you say you have no data, what do you mean? Does it show the LTE or 5G indicator? Can you make phone calls?

Nothing will send or download, it shows 5G. Imessages wont send. Can’t go to webpages. So far I missed one phone call, it sent me a voicemail when I connected back to Wi-Fi.

Are you sure the problem isn’t with the back end at your local cell site?
