Okay, I am finally able to select the Unlock via Watch on my iPhone.

tested 10 times with wearing a mouthmask. Only once it was working, 9 times I still had to use my pincode.

This 15.0.1 is a true joke

really? are you personally experiencing a lot of issues?
My group of friends and I are seeing lots of bugs with Focuses specifically. I have a few radars open from them to hopefully help them get fixed. It’s pretty bad though, yes.

hm, haven't played around with focuses too much, but some. mine seems fairly stable. of course that doesn't help you if your experience is different.

Any app I’m using really. But YouTube is especially bad.
Try RESETING NETWORK SETTINGS. Had some terrible battery life issues (like losing 30% during half the night without obviously no phone use) with the last few betas and then on 15, and later on 15.1beta because was looking for any solution. Resetting Network Settings seems to resolve the issue with battery draining.

If one uses Messages in the (i)Cloud, then it doesn't matter how big one's iMessage database is.

It's been years since I deleted any iMessage artifact or thread. (I just upgraded from a 64GB iPhone X, and even there, my main storage issue was all the videos I got in WhatsApp, but Messages in the Cloud Just Works.)

I suspect that's why different folks feel so differently about this. If you have a smaller phone and don't use iCloud for messages, that bug is a lot more glaring.
@Janak Parekh Can you explain exactly how this works for you please -- serious question. I have Messages in the Cloud turned on, but if you don't go into the conversations and prune the photo/video attachments, the messages in the cloud storage ends up running wild, just saw a phone yesterday with something like 46 or 64GB of messages. Is that what you're basically facing? Am I missing something?

Our phones, 13 Pro and 12 mini, are doing this thing where it thinks we have left the house in the middle of the night, and returned. Our HK automations open the garage door, unlock the back door and set the Hue lights to a certain scene.

We had to turn off that automation, one morning we woke up with the garage door open and the door unlocked, oddly no lights on; the next night the lights came on twice in the middle of the night before I turned off the automation.

Posted to an HK group on FB, seems that I'm not the only one.

IMO, I would never set an automation to have complete control over unlocking or opening doors. It's fine to tap on option/shortcut when you arrive or go to bed, but seems a bit unsafe to 100% trust a phone to automate things based on location when it comes to door lock or property access type settings.

I appreciate the concern but this has been working for us for at least a year, if not longer, with absolutely no issues until iOS15. The FB group did give a good suggestion to add a wifi outlet to the garage door opener, then the door could be turned off while out of town or as a secondary safety step overnight. I'll consider it but WiFi outlets have been less and less reliable for me lately.

EDIT: Another option is to add time, only allow the automation from 7am to 9pm for example.

Jumping on the bandwagon with iOS 15 being the buggiest I can remember, on both my iPhone and iPad. Mainly UI glitches but it’s been causing a lot of issues with 3rd party apps as well.

Though I do remember iOS 10 being pretty shaky as well.

Meh; installed and I still can't set a complex passcode on my Apple watch. I reset it once I got the iPhone 13 Pro and ever since then... I can only ever set a simple passcode on my watch. 😒

I may have to hop onto the Beta train again to report this, even though I think it is Watch OS that is causing it.

Did that on Saturday trying to resolve the unlock with watch issue.

Every year's update cycle accompanies the same ridiculous hyperbole... "iOS 15 is the WORST EVA" "sooo many bugs!!!" "I'm rolling back to previous version"...

It's like you people just lookup comments you made a year ago and copy and paste them, ridiculous...

It's a new OS, and it'll have issues, GET THE F OVER IT and stop being such a bunch of whiney, self-entitled snobs!!!

Did this fix the animation scrolling bug apple mentioned before?

It really is terrible. Have been encountering (and not just me, another friend too) a UI bug where notification groups (from different apps) overlap one another, and prevent you from click on / expanding either of the groups. Also started a few betas back but is still here on 15.0.

Just updated and the Unlock iPhone with Apple Watch issue is resolved. I had to turn back on the "UNLOCK WITH APPLE WATCH" feature in the setting on my iPhone.

Sooooo…….what does 15.0.1 break? 🤨🤔

Seriously, I’m sure it possibly might resolve some of the bugs, probably, I hope, but what new bugs does it cause? I think it is reasonable and fair to assume that this update causes new, different problems.

What are all the bugs and new problems in iOS 15.0.1?

Damn it.. Literally just erased the phone and did an iCloud restore *last night*.

Now my App Library looks like a toddler organized everything as "Other".

Should have waited a few more hours I guess.
