then how do you enable macro mode?iPhone 13:
DON'T turn the new "Auto macro mode" off!
I just tested it, and it's not the same as turning it off and manually switching to the 0.5x wide-angle. It's a further out view.
BAD choice by Apple.

Then why do it in the first place if they're not looking my MY pictures or YOUR pictures, etc.. And it's not just or was not just coming to your iPhone, it was also coming to your iPad and Mac. And I have a sneaking suspicion the database they have will need to get updates over time. What's to stop someone or something from manipulating that database and start looking for phrases, or other images deemed inappropriate. Apple needs to stop playing cop. It is not their job.But its not like they are looking at your pictures, there is millions of apple users, why would they look at your pictures?
My iPhone 11 Pro had that same issue. They did this same calibration thing for iPhone 11 series in update 14.6 or so. And my battery health jumped from 81% to 89%. So chances are the algorithm update for the 12 will help you out.My 12 Pro have lost a ridiculous amount of battery health since last year, like none of my previous iPhones did in the past for the same usage pattern, so hopefully these battery calibrations can improve it...
SharePlay works with several third-party apps such as Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max, but not with Netflix or YouTube (among others).Does shareplay only work with the TV app or will it also work with HBO Max, Netflix & Etc.?
Whether they are looking at your pictures isn't the point. They can if they want and they would be scanning all your pics. What if there is a picture that gets flagged that is out of context or looks like something that should be flagged but isn't? Google isn't looking at your specific data either there's millions of Google users. It goes into an algorithm for ads that pop to you based on what you do on using your acct which to me still seems a little less scary TBH. Not that I love either situation but calling out Google and not Apple for privacy concerns if this goes through defies logic IMO.But its not like they are looking at your pictures, there is millions of apple users, why would they look at your pictures?
Didn’t work for me. Even with qr code.To add the vaccination receipt to my wallet I just took a picture of the QR code and then there was a little health icon that pops up when I pressed it allowed me to add it to my Apple health app now shows in my wallet.
Won’t catch one that’s the problem. But it does open the door for mass scanning.OMG what is the big deal this is a tech used to catch child abusers, what so bad about that?
What do you define as a ridiculous amount? Ive had my 12 Pro since launch and mine's at 93%.My iPhone 11 Pro had that same issue. Does the "share" icon appear? Click that and it should ask if you want to share to a health wallet
Nothing bad about this use, but this tech could also be used for other purposes, and this is a concern. Nobody can check what it is being used for, if Apple gets a gag court order. There is no independent, public oversight of how this tech is being used, and this is a problem, because it inevitably would lead to the abuse.OMG what is the big deal this is a tech used to catch child abusers, what so bad about that?
I was surprised it worked...i thought it only scanned pics stored in the cloud?
does anyone see this on their MacBook yet? 15.1 shows availability for over the air on the iPhone. I plug into my MacBook to update and it says 15.0.2 is the latest software
Apple today released iOS and iPadOS 15.1, the first major updates to the iOS 15 operating system that was released in September 2021. iOS 15.1 comes one month after the launch of iOS 15.

The iOS and iPadOS 15.1 updates can be downloaded for free and the software is available on all eligible devices over-the-air in the Settings app. To access the new software, go to Settings > General > Software Update. It may take some time for the software update to propagate to all users after release, so if you don't see it, wait a few minutes and check again.
iOS 15.1 includes SharePlay, which is designed to allow users to call their friends and family and interact by watching movies and TV or listening to music together, plus there's a built-in screen sharing feature. There's ProRes video capture and an Auto Macro toggle for the iPhone 13 Pro, along with Lossless Audio and Dolby Atmos support for the HomePod (with accompanying HomePod update). There's also support for generating vaccine cards in the Wallet app from vaccination records stored in the Health app.
Apple's full release notes for the iOS 15.1 update are below.
