Apple Releases iOS 15.4.1 With Fix for Battery Drain Issue

Wow. This may be one of the very few times Apple ever addresses ‘battery drain’ as a bug. ?

It's so weird, it was fine on my iPhone, but my iPad was dying in half the time it usually did.

13 mini has battery drain issue 😢 I'd like to 👀 battery turn on low power mode at % which I think use to be present in past iOS version but isn't with iOS 15.4 at least.

Battery life for me has been great. Like a lot of updates, it will probably introduce the issue it was meant to fix.

15.2 wasn't so hot for the mini. If 15.3 fixed it, 14.3.1 might break it again.

I agree with OP, this is an update I won't seek out. My mini is running perfectly.

Me too, but I updated anyway. Just booted up. Will revert back to 15.4 if needed.

Thought it was just me. My battery has been draining so quickly I just went out and bought a MagSafe charger to have on me

Hi! This is the first iOS-update being able to download with mobile data with LTE/4G in Sweden. I know there was talk about this during iOS 15.4 beta (not be limited to Wi-Fi-network when downloading iOS-updates..) but have not been able to find any confirmation that this is released. Either way it might be limited to different countries but I have tested on two different carries with two different Apple iPhone devices (Carrier Tele2 and Telia with iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 mini) and both show this option. The option says something like: "Downloading iOS-updates using mobile data might bring extra charges" press yes to continue or cancel etc..

Just got off the call with Tim Apple. He said the most amazing, fastest ever 0.x iOS update will be out very soon for all the devices. He also mentioned that Apple can’t wait to show us all the new stuff they have added in, like emojis and such.

Yes seen that on MacOS, iPadOS, and tVOS devices for today's minor updates. Likely Friday Apple will release another beta cycle.
