The first day after update doesn't count though, but on the second it seems that the battery drain is a little less. Homekit did drain significantly before. We'll see the coming weeks.

My HomePod has refused to tell me the forecast for the last two updates despite confirming I have personal requests on. Yet to see a fix for it.

Did you enable location services on the Homepod?

I have iPhone 8, battery health Say's SERVICE with Max Capacity at 81%.

I usually leave my phone on charger most of the time, so I hadn't noticed any battery drainage.

Until.... I had to spend the day over at my mom's and my phone was off charger.
When I got out of my car, my phone was on 88%. About two hours later, looked at my phone
and the battery was down to 17%. I hadn't even opened my phone or looked at it during the whole time.

I have locations services and notifications and pushes and such all turned off.

I update my phone whenever updates are pushed down.... so I updated to 15.4 whenever it was available.
Then... I noticed the 15.4.1 update yesterday and installed it. I noticed in the description they did mention
battery drain. So I thought.... OH.... that's why it dropped do fast.

So today.... my phone was on 100%..... so I unplugged it from the charger and left it sitting beside me, not
touching it at all. I check it 30 minutes later, and it was down to 64%. I turned on low power mode.... and
1 hours later, it was down to 43%. I just looked again.... it's down to 35%.

There is something definitely wrong with this OIS 15.x.x!!!!!!!

Update: My phone got down to 2%. I plugged the charging cable in to charge my phone. In 15 minutes... it is back up to 83%. There is NO WAY it can charge that fast!!!!!!!! It has to be my bad battery plus this 15.4.1 issue!!!!!!!

Can confirm 15.4.1 has noticeably increased battery life on my 13 Mini, which was already very good with 15.4. Making sure I am sticking to a similar regular routine for the last couple days has resulted in an additional 45 minutes of on screen time or additional 90 minutes of off screen time.

Also, after additional download & file settling was completed by the end of the first day of upgrading to 15.4.1, phone has not been warm since using some regular go to apps. This was a regular occurrence with 15.4 and earlier versions.

Apple today released iOS 15.4.1 and iPadOS 15.4.1, minor updates to the iOS and iPadOS 15 operating systems that were released in September. iOS 15.4.1 and iPadOS 15.4.1 come two weeks after the launch of iOS 15.4.

iOS-15.4.1-General-Feature.jpg

The iOS 15.4.1 and iPadOS 15.4.1 updates can be downloaded for free and the software is available on all eligible devices over-the-air in the Settings app. To access the new software, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

According to Apple's release notes, the update fixes an issue that could cause the battery to drain more quickly than expected after updating to iOS 15.4. It also includes fixes for Made for iPhone hearing devices and Braille devices. iOS and iPadOS 15.4.1 fix an AppleAVD issue that could allow an application to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges. Apple says this exploit may have been actively exploited, so it is a good idea for all users to update as soon as possible.

Apple has also released new tvOS 15.4.1, HomePod 15.4.1, and watchOS 8.5.1 updates to go alongside the iOS 15.4.1 update.

I updated my XS Max with an 8 month old battery I replaced from ifixit from iOS 15.1 to 15.4.1 and the battery life went from awesome to drain fast with any usage. The CPU heats up like crazy even with light use.

Sorry for my bad english.
I have upgraded both my iphone 12 pm and my iPad pro 11 2020 to iOS 15.4.1.
(Both units worked great on 15.4)
My phone works great after the upgrade, but my iPad has worse batterylife than after the upgrade. How ironic! Planing to downgrade to 15.4. Crapple…

Update from Post #152: It is currently April 3rd at 4:00pm.
I believe my battery if finally settling down from it's power drainages.
This morning at approx 9:45am, I powered down my phone and left it off for 15 minutes.
At 10am I turned it back on and let it set unplugged pretty much the whole morning and afternoon
up until now.
I have used it off and on occasionally, without it being on the charger, and it has only gone down to 68%.
Also.... one other thing I did was turn off bluetooth. (not sure that had anything to do with it)

So.... 15.4.1 may now be working for me. Will update if anything negative happens.

Appreciate the attempt to help my home settings do have location services on. Don’t see location services within the HomePod itself?

Your battery is done especially if you get the "service" notification. My iPhone X was having similar issues you've described when iOS15 was released and I took it to Apple and had the battery replaced for $69. I haven't had an issue since and the battery lasts for two days on average (6-7hrs on screen time).. When you start getting erratic battery fluctuations like your describing it's because the battery is nearing end of life and it will only get worse.

My mistake, in my memory it was in the HomePod settings, but you’re right its in the home settings. Maybe turn it off and 5 minutes later on again?

Btw… the battery drain is back. Being on the home network the whole day today is visible on the battery report, steep line down.

Anyone else have issues with messages being turned off after the upgrade? Hit all four of our devices - dropped back to SMS, lost message forwarding, etc.

We are having issues with no display on screen of new message(s) when turning on phone. No dinging either at any time. Both my phone and spouse's. Have to go directly into Messages to see if there's anything new. Same with voice mail. Correct me if I'm wrong...in the past, when you'd power on your phone a new message bubble would appear.
