I think iOS needs to be rebuilt from that ground up with a new design and features that aren’t buggy and which “just work.” The same applies to iPad OS.

I'm thinking they could release iOS 15.7.1 just like iOS 14.8.1 but I'm also thinking they could just stop at iOS 15.7 just like iOS 13.7

Have they mentioned anything about releasing iOS 15 updates for devices that cannot be upgraded to iOS 16 like releasing iOS 12 updates for devices that cannot be upgraded to iOS 13?

This is a very poorly worded article. 15.7 is the only version any website should be recommending users install, even for the latest devices. Telling people to run out and install 16 is irresponsible. Shame.

Will 15.7 allow installing WatchOS 9? That's what I've been looking forward to the most. HR workouts without 3rd party apps!

Hey now, no joke. They finally got the badge number to work in sync with the mail app in 15.7. Let’s not be greedy and expect everything at once.

I figured I'd try going 15.7 then 16.0 - why not, what could go wrong...

So far it's looking OK, if you do decide to go 15.7 first you still have option to go to 16.0

That's true on an 11 Pro, and an SE v2 (2020)

On my old 7, not so much - just 15.7

UPDATE: all three have same app store issues as reported above @ 15.7

Battery last longer in iOS 16. This is true on my iPhone 11, SE2, and X.
