I managed to install iOS 15 & iPadOS 15 onto my devices (will do family's devices and watch later) but for some reason every time I update it via iTunes (I do this for major releases), I have to remove my passcode due to error 4000. Does anyone know why this occurs?

Does anyone know if I need to delete the public beta profile to get the update from the RC to the version that was released today? My phone is saying its up-to-date but I haven't updated it today.

Siri
- On-device processing means audio of your requests does not leave your device by default, and means Siri is able to process many requests while offline (iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR and later)

This is no use unless I know which ones goes to their servers and which ones dont

Man I have to say …. Apple software engineers really outdid themselves with iOS 15! I don’t think I’ve love iOS as much before (iOS 4 & 5 comes very close in their heyday).

so many incredible features:
New Safari,
Translate with conversation face to face mode, system wide implementation,
Mail Relay,
Tabbed groups in Safari,
Camera function of scanning text,

FOCUS! This puts my iPhone 12 mini mantra on steroids and sarms!

mom and on. This really has me considering what bundles I have with Apple - like AppleOne for individual gf storage benefit amongst anything else now for $2US I can get 50GB along with Email and internet relays?!

now I’m wondering should I upgrade ego an iPhone 13 lol. Yet.

Appeared right at 1:00pm ET and installed in about an hour on my XR. Just in time for the new style notifications to let me know my 401(k) is getting crushed.
You can never go wrong if you buy in the dips. But the 401k maybe you cannot affect that. Sorry to hear.
It’s a correction a tiny one. At least you’ll be distracted enjoying iOS 15?

I’m really impressed how well the iPad Air 2 runs the new iOS15.

At first sight everything just seems to run better and faster. I had not expected this on an almost 7year old device. I almost have no reason to upgrade when my is currently mostly is just basic media Consumption. Although I use Photoshop Mix for creating digital collages, where the 2gb ram limitation can be seen as the project get larger and larger. But even here it seems to perform better than on iOS14.

edit: I know it is ancient tech, and I’m not advising anyone to run out and buy the iPad Air 2 today. Just really impressed about who optimized iOS15 seems to be😜

My mom has a Air 2 but it's running iOS 13 due to the 16 GB storage, and she can't update it. But the new iPad 9 might just give her the nudge to upgrade.

With iPadOS 15, is anyone having issues typing with the onscreen keyboard in places like this forum or places like Facebook? For me the keyboard is horrible. It keeps sticking when I tap a letter, the mouse function when pressing on the space bar is all over the place, spell check is pulling words out of I don't know where and more. At a loss for how many problems I have typing with the keyboard. Anyone else? Any ideas to fix short of a wipe and reinstall?

Didn't yet test it with iPadOS 15 but with iOS 14 I had terrible issues trying to type text here on the forum into text boxes, for whatever reason.

Favourite features so far include:
  1. Tabbed groups in Safari
  2. Camera function of scanning text
  3. Multitasking’s improvements such as drag and drop between apps.
  4. Device Siri

If these Apple chips are so damn fast, why does it take FOREVER in the "Preparing Update..." stage? Literally everything happens in fast memory and flash storage. I feel like my iPhone has a 5400RPM hard drive in it...
Agree with you, and they take an eternity maybe, just may, because probably are not as fast as everybody believe.

First bug I noticed today.

I do NOT have YouTube set to alert me in notifications on iOS 7 onwards. Especially on my Apple Watches I’ve owned up to and including iOS 14.8.1. After 3 days or so of iOS 15 I got a YouTube alert on my watch and I’m super annoyed.

I haven’t really looked often at YouTube on my iPhone (of course never on WatchOS) usually only on my ATV4 or my former iPad Pro. Yet after enabling grouped notifications - not including YouTube as that was disabled in iOS 14.8.1) suddenly it got enabled both on iOS and in WatchOS.

Apple needs to properly review API changes and review all previous settings, not just see the feedback form public beta testers or from YouTubers.

I think this is an issue with Google just building a bad app and being wonky with how they report their notifications.

YouTube notifications were an absolute mess during the beta as well. ONLY YouTube.
