No surprise. 16.1 is going to launch with new iPad Pros later this month.
16.1 is not ready. This makes me think it’ll be at least two more weeks.

I’m hoping the iOS 16.1 Release Candidate update gets released tomorrow.
Thanks for providing this -- I'm tempted to downgrade from 16.1 beta 4 to this version since there's a stronger likelihood they've been working on a fix for the cellular issues with that sort of firmware update
i’m keeping my 13 pro on 15.7 until at least 16.1, maybe even 16.2.
i don’t want to lose my normal operating phone just due to these rushed updates
very unlikely if they just released this update.. probably a few weeks away still
Wait, this has happened to you? This bug has caused me a myriad of issues. Have you contacted Apple about this?
Does this update fix the lack of a USB-C port on the iPhone 14 Pro?

I wonder why so many bugs have been specific to the 14 Pro even with features that other phones have, like camera and notifications. Is the hardware so different that a lot of new codes are specific to the Pros?
Anyone else is having cellular connectivity issues on 14 Pro Max... or maybe on Verizon as well ???
So my phone just went into data recovery after doing this update. Great!
beta testers were more concerned about the power icon 😆
I completely agree. I like to have a reasonably functional phone and not dealing with unusual bugs.
Was planning on making the leap at 16.1, but may go to 16.2 as there seems to be alot of carnage on this update.
You'll have to give them some time on that, to figure out how to fix it, then really test the life out of the fix in the wild (on roller coasters and who knows what else) and then roll it out - guessing a month to several months depending on how hard a nut it is to fix.
Actually 15 was a work from home version and was one of the better iOS .00 releases. Operating System x.00 release quality is always a bit of a gamble as there always unexpected bugs and because .00 releases are so large there are always lots of bugs.

I’d do that. Trust me, from a person who upgraded and has spent countless hours trying to recover and get things back in working order (just having a basic phone that I can make calls on), this has been such a huge pain this year. By far the worst experience I have had with this process.
Temporarily switch to LTE only and see if that helps, given the issues with Verizon's non-mmWave 5G network.
So far I've been lucky with iOS 16 on my 12 Pro max. My wife hasn't complained about anything on her 14 Pro. I guess we've been lucky. Still I'll take bugfixes!
