Gonna wait to download. Can someone try the new Tmobile 5G Standalone update on iOS 16.4 please?
Yeah. It isn't mentioned in the notes so I was wondering. Would love for it to improve my service in Portland. Tmobile was 600Mbps every when I lived in Charlotte...but here I usually don't get a signal inside a building.Gonna wait to download. Because I downloaded the RC last week, I won't get the update right? I still think (And I provided Feedback yesterday) that Apple Music has been sluggish with this new release. I do appreciate the folders for playlists though.
I was on RC and got an update, they must have pushed further changes after RC
Also on the Apple Music thing...I went back to local music files as an experiment and it's almost crazy to re-remember how fast that is. Apple must have something going on with their CDNs or something, like how some people report Siri being very sluggish while others don't, but a third party app like Spotify outstrips it on speed easily when streaming.
Yeah can’t wait to try the Tmobile 5G standalone update on iOS 16.4. It’s supposed to give gigabit speed service for Tmobile customers. Also want to try out the new “voice isolation” update on 16.4. Definitely want clear voice calls!Yeah. It isn't mentioned in the notes so I was wondering. Would love for it to improve my service in Portland. I still don't have the update yet. I turned off the public beta but maybe I shouldn't have? This build is 1 build newer than rc, rc was 20E246 this is 20E247
If it was like before you had to separately enable the new home architecture.Nothing in the release notes about updating HomeKit 😕😑🫤 I’ll wait
Yeah I’ve checked all my devices and the only items to get updated is my iPhone and my OG HomePodsThe new build is only showing up for my iPhone, not the iPad. Is this happening to others?
Same here. My mini 5 is running beta dont get the update but my Air 4 running public gets the update.I still don't have the update yet. I turned off the public beta but maybe I shouldn't have?
In a fantastic way. Til now, every time you had a web tool that needed to alert users about something, you had to build an app in order for them to get a notification on their iPhone. If all you needed was an alert system - it is a common use case for an information tool - Apple would not allow it in their App store, so you had to go and use Testflight to distribute the app as a beta. Building and maintaining the app is time consuming, not to mention not all your users will be able to use it without help. These betas expire every 90 days, so you have to make sure they are aware of that, that your development team does not forget to update it in the developer site, adding to the expense and complexity of keeping a ridiculous app just to make internal alerts available. In a good way? To me it seems like it’ll mostly be used for spam
Same here. I needed to temporarily turn off Developer Beta update to get the ios download started on my iPhonesThe new build is only showing up for my iPhone, not the iPad. Is this happening to others?
It hasn't done anything for my speeds indoors. Exact same. It did briefly switch into 5G UC before switching back to regular 5G...the option was in the cellular 5G options turned on automatically.Yeah. It isn't mentioned in the notes so I was wondering. Would love for it to improve my service in Portland. Tmobile was 600Mbps every when I lived in Charlotte...but here I usually don't get a signal inside a building.
That’s because the RC build for iPad is same as the final public releaseSame here. I needed to temporarily turn off Developer Beta update to get the ios download started on my iPhones
Nothing on my iPad Pros yet.
